The message your position sends is that any country would be a fool to give up their nukes and trust the US to back them up on that choice.
Only the most stupid country would trust the US to back them up after Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Cuba, etc, etc, etc.
The US is one of the most untrustworthy allies ever and has sold out more nations since WWII than any other.

Taiwan has no nukes. Since 1988, Taiwanese leaders have maintained the position that Taiwan will not seek nuclear weapons in the future.

I fear your right and WW III is looming now. Our local newspaper printed how to survive a nuke blast. We are one spark away from the mobilization, wave of pro-American Propaganda, and war powers for Biden. At least that will silence all the woke BS. We all glow equally after the Tsar Bomb falls. It will not be the expected Nuke exchange but a long drawn out fight, on several continents, America will feel what Ukraine has felt as our sons and daughters fight in far away battlefields in: Central America, Korea, China Seas, Vietnam, Ukraine, Poland, Alaska etc...
Yeah, it’s been rumored and there are good reasons to assume the rumor may have some truth to it. Much like how Israel is known to have 200 some odd nukes while officially speaking they do not.
