And often it’s presented in a very positive light.
Look how safe it is not having to worry about losing your wallet of cash. Look how convenient stuff like palm scanners are. And medical tracking. All your health information at the doctor’s fingertips in case you have an emergency.

Any so-called digital identity will fail if they don't address the illegal border crossers first.

I get your point. There have been bills proposed in the past to prevent anonymous posting on social media. From a transactional stand point, I don’t see the point of a digital ID. If that is stolen, it might actually be easier to clean people out and create havoc...
