“Russia’s own resources are going into things that get used up in combat or destroyed, instead of making things (other than oil/gas) that can be exported.”

Since roughly 1991, Russia’s only exportable goods have been oil. natural gas, and weapons (the latter only to its few remaining “allies” or corrupted African dictators).

I assume you’re in Wagner as a Russian mercenary since you hate Ukrainians so much?

__”You missed the point.”

No.

The linked chart clearly shows the ruble dropping against the yuan.

That said you are free to believe whatever you like.

With your firm belief in the value of the ruble, you should buy lots of them and Russian ETFs, which in your view are currently undervalued.

They also use and export some strategic materials (it was an issue because some of them were only readily available from South Africa as an alternative, and folks wanted to boycott S.S. and we weren't trading with the USSR). Anyway. if they are using the weapons themselves, they aren't getting the money from exporting them.

82.046 RUB/USD on 17 Apr 2023. 60.384 RUB/USD on 24 Nov 2022. Russian officials attribute much of the ruble’s decline during this period to increased capital outflows.

Simple. If you can’t use it due to sanctions then it’s worthless.

What is wrong with you. You’re the only one talking about currency.

I would prefer oil. Barrels or tonnes depending on the viscosity sought. Better yet, the land over it.

Oil is priced in joules. That price never changes.

Only Trump can put a stop to this eventuality.

No, he can’t. The only way is cutting spending.

He didn’t do it and will not do it.
