Is it great tactics to alienate a large portion of the conservative base with these antics. Who, exactly, is he winning over?

I am an old trump Supporter, but he is losing me with all the cheap shots at DeSantis.

Hardly a scientific sampling, but the guys at the coffee shop which I frequent most mornings are heavily pro-Trump; however, they're clearly tired of his bombast and want him to talk about his first-term accomplishments and his plans for a second term.

One of his followers (on this thread) said he’d back Biden over DeSantis. That is how utterly looney they have become.

Not smart of Trump for his silly attacks on DeSantis. He ends up only losing supporters, not gaining them. I don’t undersand why he does it.

Likely depends on how Trump lost.

If they rig the primary as RINOmney had to, I think Trump can run independently.

If so, I’ll support him.

Tell then coffee shop he’d be serving in his last term today if not for a stolen election..
So,he has to go 2015/2016 again..

If they can remember back that far, that’s the 2015/16 ‘Low Energy Jeb, Liddle Marco Rubio and Lyin Ted’ era of Trump campaigning..

I've seen that occasionally on FR, and I think I know who you mean. Unbelievable!!

I want more people to work with the enemy!

We already have had that - Bush I ICIA) and Bush II - Bush II who gave us the "Patriot" act.

Just wondering if you like freedom or like being felt up at the airport

“Trump continues to say stupid things, which don’t need to be said.”

Based on the online reaction to the Trump campaign’s Friday rant, it seems as though there has been one very receptive audience to it: Democrats. They hate DeSantis and are eager to portray his state as an awful, failing, horrible place, so they’re happily sharing Trump’s smears, offering additional indictments of Florida that they think Trump might want to highlight next. Once again, the interests of Donald Trump and the Democratic Party have aligned.

“Who cares about the rhetoric.” Independent voters, for one. They are not True Believers like those here that conveniently ignore the pesky inconvenience of needing to win 270 Electoral College votes.

Imagine if Trump could not just espouse and bring about right policies but also project maturity, wisdom, and articulate why we need to right the ship. I am tired of the word “incredible” BTW.

Sigh . . . best we got I guess. I miss Reagan and even Nixon.
