They don’t just pad their pocket with tax dollars. They have created an entire bureaucracy to regulate every aspect of the business from the seed to the smoker. Another voting block paid for by taxpayers.

I guess my point is that the government is making big bucks of legal weed to the point illegal is cheaper (so I have read since it’s not legal here) and has an entire army ensuring compliance to regulations taxes …. Yet the heroine is being mixed with fentanyl and the crime, homeless, medical, and deaths are an issue. Legalized heroine would face the same issue since the greedy government would cause increase in price to the point people would still go the illegal route.

I guess I don’t like the government by law forcing out “entrepreneurs “ through force of violence and proceeding to increase costs. I’m not a fan of legalizing drugs and not a fan of the drug wars.

“Potheads are notoriously liberal, and liberals are democraps.”

This doesn’t hold true in Texas.

Well, yeah, on income. By that standard, they make money off of increased Dorito sales. The glass shops in town might make more selling pipes than some of the dispensaries do. Utilities probably make out pretty good on the indoor growing operations.

Yeah, that explains the 20 year NYPD retiree, John Birch Society member, Life NRA Member, twice wounded Korean War volunteer, John Wayne worshiping liberal I knew.

Why that lisping liberal had been getting high his entire life, from parochial school in the ‘40s through his retirement in the ‘teens !

He liked Czech beer, Irish whiskey and red heads with big boobs too....

It’s hard to fathom that the States who have legalized cannabis, aren’t beholding to the Federal Government for looking the other way, especially since cannabis use and sale is still against the law as far as the Feds are concerned.
