Our GOP representatives shrug their shoulders and abandon the field time and time again. At some point the people themselves are going to have to take a stand, take over the school systems, and send these liberal administrators out the door and tell them not to return.
This country is long overdue to end compulsory education and government schools.

And the teachers still don't feel safe?
Back in the day, one of my friends was head training officer for a police department in a major metropolitan area.
He was in a cruiser with a cadet one evening and they responded to a large fight between two rival gangs. The fight was seriously violent with guns and knives being used.
My buddy parked the cruiser a good ways away and proceeded to watch the carnage.
The cadet asked why they were not getting out to stop the fight and arrest the gang bangers.
My buddy told the cadet that they were out numbered by 30 to 1 and that it was not like the bangers were beating up on some poor, innocent little old lady. They were stone cold bad guys beating up on other stone cold bad guys so let them beat each other until the gangsters were properly beat up and the police had enough back up officers to safely mop up the mess.
Maybe it's time to let the students kick each others asses until the SWAT Team arrives to finish the job. Which will a long time because the police departments have been defunded by the morons who are now suffering at the hands of the criminals they have enabled.

Yeah? So then how did this happen? The kids involved in this certainly didn’t know of your policy.

The district spins this as an “altercation” whereas it was a violent gang attack. Why are the perpetrators subject to some pathetic school “discipline” instead of being arrested and charged with felony assault causing great bodily harm? Does this school system have a “diversion” scheme that shields student-criminals from law enforcement? Wonder if this was a racial incident.

Body cameras for teachers might help.
I am getting the message that big cities are not a good place to be. In the previous century my cousin tried to teach English at U of Houston. He was trying to grade a black student’s composition which was intended to be about identity politics. The paper used the word “nergo” throughout and its author felt he was entitled to a passing grade.
Seems that I remembering you asking that same question 20-years ago... /s

Everyone who actually cares about the future of their children has already removed them from public school. For the rest children are an annoyance that they can deposit in "school" for the day to get them out of their hair or they are fashion accessories for whom the future is irrelevant.
