Not in the classical sense. But their name literally meant Nationalist Socialist German Workers Party. And their platform was anything but right wing. Right wing is for limited government. Nazis were for total government control over the individual. Everything they stood for is what the modern left stands for. They constantly competed with the communists for the young skulls full of mush not because the young skulls full of mush were trying to figure out right vs left, they were trying to figure out which brand of socialism they would prefer over the old ways. You have to understand, Europeans never knew freedom like Americans did. They were always under some ruler's thumb. From Kings on down to junta government. They were picking between the old aristocracy and two forms of new aristocracy that promised something they could and would never deliver.

We have the crazy arming themselves to the teeth. Doesn’t matter much what their manifesto is or if they are left wing or right wing. They are crazy, well armed and they intend to kill us for whatever slight they feel they may have suffered at our hands.
They all need to be disarmed. Treatment, even when successful, can take years and won’t work if the patient is uncooperative.

You confuse terms. If your premise identifies “liberal,” you have to contrast it with “conservative.” Conversely, if your premise identifies “left wing,” you have to contrast it with “right wing.”
It is a fact that not all “liberals” are “left wing,” and not all “conservatives” are “right wing.”

Fascists and communists fought over the difference between NATIONAL socialism and INTERNATIONAL socialism.
