How he handled the state during COVID is impressive. He didn’t shut things down or turn his administration over to Fauci. So far he hasn’t waived the pride flag.
He’s a politician.
If you’re a politician you learn to duck questions that you don’t have to answer.
Ask instead why the reporter asked the question and what the reporter was after.

What’s the Meatball reference to him supposed to mean. He isn’t Italian decent, is he.
He cannot produce the forensic evidence of election theft and is left with only anecdotal accounts. His inquisitors return with all of the investigations that supposedly discovered nothing. DeSantis or Donalds is left with nothing to counter.
Even Barr said there were accounts of misfeasance, but not enough to overturn the election. Hence, the question is a trap.

I think he knows the DSC *would* rig it *for* him, if his time comes (which I firmly believe will never actually be coming).
The people DeSantis has associated with and taken money from make me question whether he’s just an opportunist who saw a winning ticket in MAGA. Before that he was a Paul Ryan Republican when he was in the House.
He is of Italian descent. Don’t know if that’s the meaning behind the “meatball” nickname. It might be a reference to his portly appearance.
The name came from a news story that came out about a month or two ago, claiming that Trump had been testing out various nicknames for DeSantis. “Meatball” was one of the names mentioned in the story, with no explanation of what it was in reference to. People seemed to have liked it and its use spread quickly.
We don’t even know for sure if Trump really said it. The story might not even be legit, as far as we know. I don’t think Trump has ever used the term, publicly.
And shame on anyone who mocked Stockdale for his VP debate performance. Looking back I would have been proud to vote for the Perot/Stockdale Ticket. Wish I had.

In April 2020 the guy signed off on a bunch COVID lockdown measures that were comparable to the Nazi sh!t we saw from the worst Democratic governors in the U.S.
And this was AFTER the so-called "15 days to flatten the curve" ended.

This entire Only Trump thread is based on false interpretation of what Governor DeSantis said or implied.
I guess it is okay for trump to call him a RINO regardless of his strong conservative record. The guilt by association trope is weak and no one ever names or lists what actions or remarks demonstrate DeSantis bends to the establishment wishes.
Trump may win the nomination, but that does not guarantee he wins the general election. Time for some objectivity and anaysis rather than emotional scum over the eyes.

Trump's guidelines did recommend a shutdown. DeSantis ordered a mandatory shutdown. Seven states governors didn't.

The Pentagon jab mandate was in 2021. Trump WASN'T president in 2021. That was Biden.
