Obama had 40% poll numbers in 2012, yet he won again.
I don’t know if this poll is accurate.
Nope anything about Trump from the New York Post is deep in the fib list they have mega TDS.

Ha. True.
All media at this point cannot be trusted.
They are mostly unofficial PR extensions for various parties and candidates. Mostly benefiting the Democrats ~85% and for those that are Republican it’s pro establishment. Just look at the 2016 elections and how even the more pro-Republican media favored (((ALL))) of the establishment candidates: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2016_Republican_Party_presidential_candidates
***The media supports that party/candidate which promises to benefit the corporate interests and billionaires they are beholden to.***
The media is either owned or beholden to (advertisement revenue) the big corporations and oligarchs that actually run this place: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QAkQlZgnbUQ
Few are objective, accurate and thorough.
The news is itself advertisement. Folks do not realize this. Much of the news is no more than advertisement pretending to be news, i.e. the new Iphone is out, a new horrible flu strain this year followed by a story about this years flu vaccine, a story about a new ride at Disney, a new and bigger cruise ship, bla bla bla.
Likewise, all these stories on the candidates are no more than political advertising. If they support you, all bad will be minimized and good maximized, while your opponent will see all good minimized and bad maximized. That simple-
Everyone in the MSM merely pretends and puts on the facade of objectivity and fairness, but all of that is long gone. Maybe in the 1950s you had a semblance of objectivity in reporting (albeit Yellow Journalism is no new concept: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yellow_journalism), but today’s speculative, extrapolating, one sided, often feelings based journaling which is weak on substance and facts is essentially junk pretending to be news. It is then so called “fact-checked” which is no more than a seal of approval by a like minded and equally biased non-original content provider who is usually not even a SME and almost always agrees with the general Zeitgeist regarding any topic: Covid, alleged Trump groping, Ukraine, Hunters Laptop, Biden’s mental state...
It’s “junk.” You can watch the news in the US for 8 hours straight and you’ll have zero actionable information which is factual, reliable, and usable in your life regards: your health care, diet, safety, travels, finances, education, retirement, raising children, fitness, etc. For example: Your head will get stuffed full of one sided reporting about Ukraine (selling a war), Covid, climate change, LGBTQIA... and most of the information you get on these topics is not even accurate.
Ironically, the first large-scale case of Yellow Journalism was in the Spanish-American war: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_propaganda_of_the_Spanish%E2%80%93American_War and today we are seeing that exact same thing (literally history repeating itself) regards Ukraine. Point being is that the media behaving as it is today is nothing new. There was a brief moment in history where you had an expectation of professionalism and objectivity in reporting (The NYT’s historically was rock solid for a while), but that era is long gone: https://journalistsresource.org/media/rise-contextual-journalism-1950s-2000s/ Today’s “journalist” does not merely “report” on the events and present facts. Today’s journalist essentially tells you what to think, even cherry picks what he thinks you should see and hear, rather than presenting facts and letting you come up with your own opinion.
In fact, good “reporting” today goes unnoticed because IMHO, the audience is no longer concerned with a coherent, logical, relevant conversation about a topic which affects them. You can have a war where 5,000 US soldiers die, and what grabs the front page of the papers is a Britney Spears crotch shot: https://www.bbc.co.uk/1xtra/tx/britney_pics.shtml or https://www.cbsnews.com/news/britney-talks-panties-and-partying/ ...
***Today, the MSM news is in the corporate and political sales business. You do not pay them, you do not control the product being sold. You are the target of the sales pitch.***
