my first thought as well... It wasnt a month ago I heard that there are now like 42 active volcanoes around the world erupting. And nothing is said about what that does to the atmosphere!! only man is capable of that destruction!!

I have always wanted to climb Popo, and now it looks like I never will. Did drive up to the climber’s hut once, and hiked a few hundred feet on the trail. It was a cloudy day, so we couldn’t see much. I feel bad for the people who live in the Popo Ixta highlands. That is some beautiful country and charming villages.

Not a particularly large eruption as they go.
VEI= Volcanic Explosivity Index. Each succeeding number is 10 times larger than the previous.
