Not as cheap as Butt Light, but it is most certainly a superior beer. Other good German beers are Spaten, Hacker-Pschorr, and if you want to go really old-school German (as in, oldest brewery in the world), Weihenstephaner (though it might be difficult to find).

If you know people that like Mich Ultra (Have them try Yuengling flight) It’s very similar but just a bit better. I know i know it’s low carb light beer...but for those that count calories and carbs it works.

I am not a beer drinker, but I’ve been a business professor. The value in BL was the marketing. Beer is kind of a generic product, and by careful marketing, such as Super Bowl Clydesdale commercials, they increased the perception of the brand’s value. In one bad marketing decision they offended their customers and reduced the brand value BILLIONS of dollars.

It’s VERY unlikely they will ever win those customers back. They would have to repudiate all leftism. But that would drive away leftist customers. They have no solution and RUINED the brand. Now, shareholders should force a change of management.

Was in the beer section of our local market...it is a walk-in refrigerated room and had to laugh at the stacks of Bud Light cases occupying every square foot of floor space.

I also agree that they will just rebrand the Bud Light beer, introduce it to the market at a reduced price in hopes to draw in those previous drinkers..

Maybe AB should buy Rolling Rock and substitute it with Bud Light. Pretty sure no one would know the difference!

What’s amazing to me is that they stock price hasn’t taken a far worse face plant. BUD has only dropped about 11% since the start of April and Inbev NV has dropped about 7%. BUD is currently trading at $58.71 and I’m thinking that it should have gone under $50 by now... Yes I know that Bud Light is just one brand under A-B but the fact that other brand sales are also down says this is a far more widespread problem for A-B than perhaps one would think...

I suspect woke institutional investors are keeping the stock up. I wonder how much AB stock CALPers has?
