I think the difference this time, other than Obama not being president, is that many people at lower income levels have experienced the inflation effects of loose monetary policy and big spending. They now feel like more spending will raise prices.
After the votes in today’s House session, the usual one-minute speech time began, which usually has a few members bloviating on small issues such as someone retiring in their district or the school team won’t the Whatever Tournament. This morning, at least fifty members from the left side of the aisle, including the big dogs (Pelosi, Jeffries), all gave one-minutes that were evidently co-ordinated to build the narrative that the Republicans Were Running Out of Town And Letting Poor People and Veterans Suffer Forever.
They’re scared, since they know the House is the only part of the gubmint that has done its work in passing the necessary legislation, the Senate has been gone for the whole week, Biden was in Japan, and they look increasingly stupid.

Tax receipts FAR exceed America’s important needs. The federal government just spends FAR TOO MUCH on non-essentials.
I say to Biden, go ahead and tell America’s seniors they won’t get their Social Security and watch an armed uprising of millions like nobody has ever seen.
Those who suddenly have nothing, have NOTHING TO LOSE and they will be the most dangerous people the world has ever seen.
Send civilian federal employees home and save BILLIONS of dollars.
When McCarthy was amongst those considered for Speaker of the House, I was one who didn’t want him, since I considered anything from Porn-O-Fornia to be not worth consideration. However, I must admit that he’s been darned good. Hopefully, he’ll continue to push ahead and perhaps, just perhaps, we may make a small dent in the abysmal failures of our country caused by our greatest enemy, the DemocRAT Party. Our nation has never faced such a concentration of dishonesty, corruption, loathsomeness, and just plain slime.
