Someone made a great point today on radio. People are far too obviously putting Trump, a man, above the country. This is much more loyalty to Trump than it is to USA. It may be a weird exposure of the desire for a king which I’m convinced is some natural instinct. I never expected to see that truly manifested in Republicans.
DeSantis spoke up just fine.
Some people will complain no matter what he says.

DeSantis is all for Trump being charged. He’s an member in good standing of the Republican establishment and is hoping Trump is knocked out of the race.
If he was patriot, he would withdraw from the race, condemn the phony charges against Trump and demand they be dropped.
There is NO scenario where I'll vote for DeSantis. It's Trump or communism in 2024.
Following behind Pence is a bad strategy for anyone. Pence is walking a plank over shark infested waters politically. Flirting with “less than 1%.”
The Trumpanzees are pathetic. Anything going on with Trump is of his own making and has nothing to do with DeSantis.
Yet all they do is deflect, deflect, deflect. “Let’s make sure we take DeSantis down with us.” With them, Trump is the perpetual victim.

Nonsense. That’s your take on what motivates Trump supporters - nothing more. And it’s inaccurate. Most of us come on here every day and offer rational reasons for why we support Trump. Defining us as a cult who worships the man over the country, is just a lazy way to dismiss our arguments.
Speaking for myself and I’m sure many others, I support the man because he fights for us. Period. Considering how rare that is in Washington, that’s reason enough to have earned our loyalty.
As I said in my original comment, it’s what we choose to focus on that separates us. We focus on the man’s actions. You focus on his personality, not his character as you like to claim. You falsely equate the two (i.e. personality and character), and I would go as far as to say that you value personality more than you do character.
As a leader, Trump’s integrity and character are unrivaled in Washington. That’s what we focus on, - not his personality.
I am disappointed to see the way Ron DeSantis is handling his campaign,
He is acting, the way he has to date, because Trump has mounted a nasty campaign against him.

Nonsense. I didn’t “libeled anyone who “focuses on his personality” to “not care about those things”. Read what I said. I was addressing that individual poster. I never said you don’t care about those things. But I did suggest they don’t matter to you as much as personality does.
Try responding with your intellect instead of your emotions next time.
