Judicial Watch announced today that Colorado’s secretary of state agreed to settle a lawsuit alleging that Colorado failed to remove ineligible voters from its rolls.

I don’t wish Trump dead and am not a Trump hater, though he’s made a string of critically stupid decisions that I hate and you do too if we’re being honest.

Biden is a dumpster fire, and if Trump is the nominee, the campaign is going to be about everything except the things that should be getting Biden evicted. And, there’s also the small matter of whether Trump will be behind bars (over BS charges but irrelevant for election purposes) and even able to campaign.

Nobody “gave” Trump the nomination in 2016. He took it. 2020 was a different story. As the incumbent, the road was paved for him, and the skids were greased. Now we’re back to square one. Whatever happens this time, Trump will always be the winner of 2016, an amazing accomplishment, to go along with a variety of other accomplishments, not to speak of his accomplishments during his first three years of his presidency.

Back in 1912, we had a knock-down, drag-out fight for the nomination between the incumbent (Taft) and the former President (TR). Teddy Roosevelt thought he had upheld Washington’s example by staying out a term, and - having down that - sought a third term. In this case, the party split and the candidate of the other party (Woodrow Wilson) was elected.

Less well known is 1880. Grant similarly stayed out a term and then sought the Republican nomination for a third term. He finished first in the initial ballot at the Republican convention, close to winning, with James G. Blaine a close second, and John Sherman (the politician, not the Civil War General) a distant third. However, there was no subsequent movement to Grant. After many ballots, a dark horse candidate, James Garfield, came from nowhere to win the nomination. In this case, the Republicans united behind the nominee and went on to win.

The Biden administration has that covered; NGOs are fully funded, election judges picked and the USPS has the ballot routes planned.

This was the first thing the DemonRatz took care of.

“Earlier this week, the Atlantic’s McKay Coppins recounted multiple conversations with Republican officials who see no way to stop Trump from destroying the party...”

If GOPe Republicanism is so great, why can’t they appeal to Independents and supposed “moderate” Democrats to win elections? Heck, why don’t they just run as Democrats and then quietly install some of their pet policies once in office?

I wonder how many of his MAGA followers would say the same if he’s not?

Go vote for your favorite GOP douchebag. Many of the rest of US have had our fill. Trump or bust! The ball is in your court.

I read any day of the week things right here on FR about women much more disgusting .... Anyway, Donald Trump was describing what ‘some’ women actually, literally, do to celebrities.. (himself)

What he said was NOT a lie ... he described what ‘some’ women do...

Did the Bush bot tell Donald Trump he was taping him ... I sure did not hear that on the tape ... and I sure did not hear the morally superior Bush excoriate Donald Trump either ... no he just slithered away and waited for the most opportune time to play gotcha ....

Some ‘conservative’ are pious hypocrites ...

The deep state fears a DJT electoral victory and for good reason. The American people face a choice: confront the lie or live the lie. This may be our last opportunity to exercise the choice. The enemies within and without are on the move and preparing for the final kill.

"[D]estroying the party" that we hear from the GOPe and "destructive of our democracy" that we hear from the media and dems are merely dog whistle slogans that emanate from fear for potential loss of their respective powerbases in opposition to the Constitution affirming stance of PDJT and MAGA.

Trump failed quite often in his first term. His people had to explain what he “meant” almost every time he spoke. He was unable to speak past the media to convince the American people why his policies were better than Biden’s. His instincts were often wrong and needed to be corrected by conservatives. He supported trans in women’s bathrooms, was pro-choice, was pro taking guns away until he was told to do the opposite to get votes. I don’t hate him. I just think there are better options.

Listen to the tape, or read a full transcript.

He was talking generally about the idiotic "groupies" who throw themselves at any famous or wealthy person.

Frank Zappa wrote a whole song about it. Pretty gross.

He cost the GOP control of the House of Representatives in 2018, lost the presidency in 2020, and contributed to the party’s underperformance in the 2022 midterms.

I don't believe any of this BS.

One other note:

It’s easy for the GOP to blame all their failings on President Trump when they have ABCCBSNBCCNNMSNBCFOXCNBC... carrying the water.

For example, posters here complain about his appointments, but it’s hard to get conservative people confirmed if the GOP won’t vote for their confirmation.
