I’m more curious as to what “authenticity training” actually entails. Is it a class or classes and whom would be the instructor, Jeb?
Does DeSantis have Asperger’s or something? He seems very socially stunted.
The problem was that once Jeb Bush emerged from the text on paper and became an actual person on the campaign trail, the guy turned into the biggest loser in the 2016 campaign field. People loved what they read from Jeb Bush, but to most voters he had as much appeal as a grapefruit.
Agreed that Jeb was a complete joke, whether he looked good on paper or not. But he’s not even in the same league as DeSantis with regard to an actual conservative record of achievements.
People make a big deal about DeSantis networking with the DC crowd, but not everyone is a billionaire, and until Trump came along networking was the norm.
Are we never again going to elect senators or governors for POTUS? Are we now limiting ourselves to billionaire outsiders exclusively?
My vote is for outsiders exclusively.

That's a good question. At this point in our nation's history, I'd say there's been a dramatic shift in favor of the "billionaire outsider" in a presidential race. I would make four points here that stack the deck very heavily against someone like Ron DeSantis:
1. I have come to despise lawyers in public office.
2. I have come to despise career politicians.
3. It's much harder to corrupt the billionaire.
4. Anyone who worked as a Federal prosecutor should be given the public respect one would give to a child molester.

This is the biggest reason I’ve supported Trump. But after the example that’s been made of Trump, billionaires may steer clear of seeking office.

Billionaires generally don’t run for public office. Instead, they bribe other misfits to do their dirty work. This is probably why there is so much resentment against Trump in Washington. He played both side of the political game over the course of his life, and that’s just a bridge too far for the corrupt misfits on the “bought” side of the equation.
And not tucked in.
I like grapefruit but never did like Jeb. Wasn’t he a governor of some state also?
