So, when the collapse of SF is complete, rebuild it as multiple 15-minute cities.

That's 15 minute by foot. Show how the model would work.

The “golden” city? Well I suppose there is something “golden” running down the sidewalks.

Starship song with lead singer Grace Slick (1985)

We built this city,
we built this city on rock and roll
Built this city,
we built this city on rock and roll

It’s just another Sunday in a tired old street
Police have got the choke hold, oh, then we just lost the beat.
///////////////////////
Now the city is getting “unbuilt.”

Read an article in the SF Chronicle today about “drug tourism”.

Evidently the FEW people actually being arrested for drug crimes are from out of town.

SF is a junkie paradise.

Lots of freebees for junkies.

Build a junkie paradise and they will come.

Welcome to the suck, San Fran! They voted for this, so they need to embrace it!

“The article says it right there. They can house 92,000 homeless people in these vacancies.

“Problem solved. Supply and demand.”

I was thinking the same thing, until I realized the major complication - apparently a large number of those 92,000 aren’t toilet-trained.

The Soros-backed DA is gone, but the results of the devastation he left in his wake would take years to fix even with a law-and-order GOP city administration. SF is in a death spiral as far as retail and tourism go, and if the folks in the financial district also get spooked, SF becomes Detroit West.

From what I've heard about San Fran the use of toilets is optional.

Little boxes on the hillside,
Little boxes made of ticky tacky,1
Little boxes on the hillside,
Little boxes all the same.
There’s a green one and a pink one
And a blue one and a yellow one,
And they’re all made out of ticky tacky
And they all look just the same.

While “Little Boxes” is about Daly City, large sections of San Francisco are essentially the same as Daly City, which is on its southern border.

RE: Little Boxes song

Haven’t thought of that one in a long time.

Just looked it up and amazed that Elvis Costello, Randy Newman and others covered it. Never saw the tv series Weeds they say used the song. Commie type feminist folk singer Malvina Reynolds wrote it and What Have They Done To The Rain.

It’s dragging down banks. No tenants, no rent, no mortgage payment.

Nope, banks packaged up the office tower loans into Commercial Real Estate Securities and sold them to your pension fund.

back in the early 80s, we’d take a weekday vaca. The wife and I had so much fun driving into the City in the early morn, park on the Embarcadero and spend the day riding buses and trolley cars everywhere we wanted to go. For $40 n 16 hours, we lived like royalty. Even with mayor Feinstein and barbara Boxer on the Board of Supv, they couldn’t muster enough support to ruin the City.
The gift that keeps on giving occurred in 1984, when we put CA in our rear-view mirror, moved to the MidWest and raised our family.

Damn shame Biden voters are so totally blinded by their ideology to not see even the most obvious things.

Unicorns and Skittles...

Maybe THIS is part of The Great Delusion.
