The so-called Greatest Generation might have fought in World War II, but it is their coddled kids that grew up in the Sixties — the Me-Me Generation that started this egocentric spiral that leads down unto the Sixth Circle. It was their grandchildren that applauded the miscreant, Bill Clinton and wife. If is their great grandchildren who are the thumbsuckers of today. The Greatest Generation did not save civilization, it only postponed its eventual destruction.

Put down your phones.

Go outside.

Meet and talk to people.

Just had a conversation with a lady, very nice, well spoken, hard worker who told me this was the first time she had been in an actual store since 2020. Shopping, social interactions, learning, everything went through her phone. She was wondering why it was so hard to meet real people.

Told her that if she wanted to meet real people she had to go to where they were.

Pointed to down the street where the park is. Yeah about half the people there were on their *$^*((%%GB phones but the other half were actually interacting. Told her to go down the street and join those people.

Many “ coddled kids “ of the 60s did not have parents from The Greatest Generation .

Not unexpected in a generation that won’t really achieve maturity until 45.

Thank you for that.

Both sides of my family were not coddle at all. Fathers were strict and unafraid of discipline

I am prepped to “live” but have prepared my soul to be killed physically. Such a sad state of affairs we are at this point now.

It’s the lockdowns at a crucial moment of development, stupid. Brought to you by the Democratic Party (and some complicit Republicans too!).

From what I’ve seen, a lot of them are terrified of talking to other humans they don’t know. Can’t even call to make reservations at restaurants. Can’t call other coworkers to handle issues right away. Would rather send an email and hope for the best instead of a quick call. It is really quite pathetic.

I am in the middle of Gen X. Unfortunately have to admit it the leftist Gen Xer’s who have been teaching these kids for the last 20 years.

Non-Leftist X’ers are some of the most casual tolerant people out there. Even with folks they completely disagree with. We just did not become teachers.

"A connected world that’s leaving so many feeling disconnected is counterintuitive and troublesome, yet it’s humanity’s new reality. And this new reality is impacting the next-generation workforce at an alarming rate. Seventy-three percent of Gen Z report feeling alone either sometimes or always—the highest level of any generation.

The mental health challenges experienced by Gen Z are like nothing any other generation has faced. Only 45 percent of Gen Z report “excellent” or “very good” mental health, which is the lowest of any generation. Ninety-one percent of Gen Z adults say they have experienced at least one physical or emotional symptom because of stress, such as feeling depressed or sad (58 percent), or lacking interest, motivation, or energy (55 percent). And 68 percent of Gen Z report feeling significant stress about the future."

The problem is that we had a generation who left the upbringing of their children to video games and gaming platforms.

This led to them being imprinted with reward endorphins for such depraved things as FPS before high school. You want to know why the Covenant School shooter's manifesto is being deliberately withheld from publication? The dumb bitch spent all her time on video games, as has nearly every other shootah in the past decade.

VG makers and players are top Democratic donors bar none. You doubt me? In the meta, Samuel Bankman-Fried created FTX more or less to support his video game habit.

Bankrupt the game makers with a Big Tobacco lawsuit, as I have repeatedly offered for the Transdemic, and you might recover the next generation.

“...being imprinted with reward endorphins...”

I was reading some psychology article about how these constant endorphins are actually causing more depression. Just like most things in nature, the brain likes a balance of emotions. So the “fake” endorphins from the internet are balanced by the opposite chemicals in the brain.

Although I imagine watching rich 17 year-old “influencers” on tik-tok also takes a toll on somebody hiding in their mom’s basement.

If you’re h feel alone and your reasonably ambulatory do something about it. Geez. Though I do feel for those who have lived highly busy social lives and are now sitting parked somewhere in a corner crippled.

Here in the US, never before has something so small that is voluntarily ingested or used had such profound extensive negative effects as contraception. Fornication, which besides health effects, cost:

(CDC)

Reduced US birth rate, by about half of what is was in 1960 from 24 births per 1,000 people to 12 births per 1,000 people in 2017 (and more so from 1910)

Share of U.S. children living with an unmarried parent more than doubled since 1968,

https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2018/04/27/about-one-third-of-u-s-children-are-living-with-an-unmarried-parent/

Number of children living with their father only, more than quadrupled from 0.8 million (1%) to 3.3 million (4.5%) between 1968 and 2020.

Rising age of of mother's first child in the United States from 24.6 in 1970 (and much higher in 1800s) to 30 in 2-22.

Thus, parents waiting to have children until it requires less sacrifice of time and money means children being more likely to be spoiled, and not learning delayed gratification, and combined with having no or few siblings to learn share things with and to resolve conflicts, as well as compete with, and increased absentee fathers (and lack of judicious corporal discipline), and to be orderly and productive, results in fostering increasingly fearful and over sensitive, protesting generations, and demanding of having their own way, and intolerant of any opposing opinions, having an elevated sense of themselves as superior in intellect.

Meaning esp. your typical MSM and college educated liberal, promoting such perversity as conservatives object to.
