Willowbrook, Illinois..? I’m surprised that it wasn’t Chicago!! Is Willowbrook trying to be a small town version of Chicago.
They don't release the Chicago stats until the weekend is over.
Willowbrook is around 3-4% black and most of the neighboring towns (Darien, Burr Ridge, Hinsdale) are similar demographics. But the location this happened was on a state highway just south of an exit off I55, which goes right into the south side of Chicago. I won’t be surprised if most of the participants are from Chicago and it’s equally rotten near south suburbs.
It’s not racist nor a failure in your perceptions. Although there are many competent, sincere and courteous black workers there are significant amounts of them who are not. What you’re accurately perceiving is that there is a greater likelihood that a black worker will exhibit those less than desirable traits you mentioned in comparison with others. Personally I try to take everyone on an individual basis and not lump everyone in the same category. Then again would you rather walk through an all black neighborhood or an all Asian one? General perceptions are not racist- that’s leftist tripe and poison.

I think this one shooting matched the number of shootings already tallied up in Chicago for Juneteenth weekend. It doubled the numbers in just a few short minutes!
Nothing like bloodshed and carnage to celebrate ....????...Wait a minute exactly what were they celebrating again? I forget.
It's to remember and to honor the approximately 360,000 Union troops who died to free the slaves during the American Civil War.
I’ve experience some of the mind-numbingly slowest checkers being obese black women who barely seem to have enough energy to keep their balance and breathe. Let alone grab a bit of merchandise and slide it past the bar-code reader.
OTOH, one of the quickest food service employees ever was a young black man who worked in our base restaurant. He could roll up a burrito is just a few seconds and it was perfect. After your 2nd or 3rd visit he already knew your standard order so if you wanted to vary it you had to be quick to let him know.
Last night at a similar event in Grant County Washington, two dead and one wounded shooter. The news described the event as a “popular gathering” without any further information of what that meant. A very brief video told you everything you needed to know about the attendees.

Juneteenth weekend is one those weekends to avoid celebratory gatherings.
I find the official name of the holiday, ‘Juneteenth National Independence Day’ a bit troubling. Almost if it’s intended to replace another holiday, at least in some people’s minds.
Go to it urban renewal.

Celebrate anything at 12:30 am in a Chicago parking lot and you’re asking for it.
I'm guessing the angry descendants of the people Lincoln beat in wrestling.
They authorities can't comment on that yet while the investigation is ongoing.
