I don’t Biden is wanting to nuke America, I think he’s using this potential threat as a way to escalate the war.
If this much hyped counteroffensive goes down in flames, which it appears to be happening, the Neocons in Washington will have to blame it on something with the appropriate response being an escalation by the USA and NATO, potentially NATO Ground Troops or a no-fly zone over Ukraine enforced by NATO Air Forces.
Or the West tires of funding half of it. The war has the salutary effect of weakening Putin and Russian expansionists, but only if they lose. A costly Russian victory will only harden Russian paranoia, which has been the source of many ills over the past 100 years, including the Holodomor, and Stalin aiding and abetting Hitler's aggression.
The end state will always be Russia, a gas station with nuclear weapons, and no self-awareness, regardless.
