So DeSantis didn’t do a good job handling Covid in Florida?

That’s what Trump thinks. He thinks Cuomo did a better job during Covid.

“DeSantis Refuses to Support Trump if Trump is GOP Nominee”

I’m nearly at the point at thinking that DeSantis is simply SICK OF RUNNING and wants to be knocked out early, since, in this case, why not say he would support the nominee, whoever that might be? After all, it could be a flat-out lie regarding Trump, but why say it now and drive even more people to Trump?

I read that participation in RNC debates is contingent on agreeing to support the official Republican convention candidate.

“DeSantis needs to rethink his response, otherwise if he somehow becomes the nominee, he has set himself up to get the same No-Team-Spirit response.”

Yep, it’s literally IMPOSSIBLE to see how DeSantis could win in November if the 70 Million or so Trump voters despise him. He’ll still get some votes, including most here (and me), but there will be a HUGE BLOCK of Republicans that simply see DeSantis as another war-mongering Bushie and will instead vote for RFK Jr.

“ Did he say that, or is that an assumption on your part?”

DeSantis didn’t say it . It was just assumed.

Can someone remind me again why DeSantis is running? Does he disagree with Trump on immigration? How about foreign intervention, globalist economic policy and curtailing the deep state? No, or at least he claims no. He’s just that much better at implementing Trump’s agenda that we should pick him over Trump?

At least with Christie, Haley, and the rest (except perhaps Vivek), they all claim to disagree with Trump on important policy positions. DeSantis needs to make the case as to why he’d be better at implementing Trump’s agenda than Trump would be. It would also help his case if he genuinely shared Trump’s anti-globalist, anti-deepstate beliefs.

Unfortunately, for his sake, that’s a hard case to make. His career path and political associations have followed the GOPe blueprint to a tee. Occam’s razor suggest, if he looks like a RINO pretending to be MAGA, he probably is.

Where did DeSantis say he would refuse to support Trump if Trump is the GOP nominee? Where's the quote? I see Laura Loomer's name in the article, and she's a well-known dingbat who does nothing to lend any credibility to this nonsense.

His reasons are his business. My reason for considering him is that he might stand a better chance of getting elected in the general election than Trump. We can't survive another four years of a Democrat in the White House.

Completely true. Trump will work to defeat DeSantis or any other Republican nominee. But the headline on this article is false.

You think so? And what about Kevin McCarthy and Donald Trump? Joined at the hip. How strange it is to see that - like McCarthy - Trump is not in favor of impeaching Biden?

How can you support that?

It was a wise, straddle answer to a gotcha question.

Trump should be asked the same q, then we can compare, eh?

Unfortunately for America, I don’t think RFK jr is going to be allowed to become much more significant politically than he already is. His fellow Dems who only want a figurehead-puppet president won’t allow RFK jr. to secure the nomination without a rough, public and very nasty scuffle.

When RFK jr. begins having
Bimbo Eruption problems discussed on CNN, you will know the Dems will stop at nothing to clear the field for Uncle Joe or whoever the next
Chowderhead Dem is decided on. If Gloria Allred (or her equally evil and corrupt daughter Lisa Bloom) gets into to defending the alleged Bimbos, that’s another sign that they want him out and are becoming desperate.

“His reasons are his business.”

His reasons are my business if he expects me to vote for him. When you run for president, such considerations are no longer simply a private matter. If you want people to vote for you, you’re motives are now a legitimate subject for public discussion. His reasons for running provide relevant information as to how he might govern if elected.

“Another filthy, lying headline.”
__________________________

My thought exactly. That’s not what RdS said.

Look, I’m a PDJT fan, but that’s not what was said. Mr. deSantis made some valid points, in fact. Points about PDJT citing Cuomo of NY as a better guv during the pandemic. I cringe to be reminded of that.

It’s absurd to demand a candidate make such a promise this early in the primary season anyhow. What Gov. dS might say next time: “Within the hour of President Trump declaring he will support me if I win the nomination, I will reciprocate appropriately. So. Stop bugging me about this and talk to my opponent.”
