Well prtty sure Prigozhin has been banished to Belarus, the Wagner group soldiers have now had to join the Russian army, Ukraine is officially disappointed in the outcome - but somehow that’s supposd to have weakened Putin?........I don’ think so - Putin showed Prigozhin who’s the Boss.

I do not believe anything I read about the Ukraine-Russia War.

Same here. Occasionally I'll get a first hand report from someone I know in Ukraine. But those are rare.

“Before the war, Ukraine was one of the most corrupt countries in the world and a poor country with a per capita GDP of $14,300, which is $100 more than Cuba’s.”

Ukraine has vast agricultural and mineral wealth, used to have a large industrial base, and has a population almost as large as Canada’s. With all that, they should be in the G7. We are pouring money we borrow from the Chicoms down this rathole.

Look at the player array at the end point. The putative rebel is in Belarus to organize a strike into Nato,Wagner is signed over to the generals who will use many of the Wagner units to train tye Russian army, and Putin is prtrayed as semi defeated , whichi is what Putin wants US ALL to believe.yed.

Presuming Putin weak, Ukraine over exrends itself into Crimea and gets destroyed by a renewed Russian army and Belarus is a p;atform for the invasion of the Baltic States and beyond.

The war has not narrowed at all.....it has just widened.

I coming around to the point of view that it cannot be a US backed operation. Because there is no way it would result in the rainbow flag flying over the Kremlin.

I don’ think so - Putin showed Prigozhin who’s the Boss.

Yeah, having a Mercenary Group, run by an ex-caterer, seize Rostov-on-Don, the seat of government for the Oblast, and HQ of the for Southern Military District -- running the war on Ukraine -- then drive, without significant military opposition, 5/6 of the way to Moscow, to within 120 miles, seizing another Oblast capitol, while citizens bring the rebels snacks, and bottled water, and tamely letting everyone involved off the hook, without charges, shows just how strong Putin is.

Just keep [deleted]ing that chicken. Perhaps it will turn into a cheerleader.

“tank run toward Moscow...”

I saw no indication of tanks apart from ones on trailers.

What’s weird is Prigozhin never, ever attacked Putin or criticized him.

In fact, he claimed Putin was being misled and lied to by bureaucrats like Shoigu

A lot of layers to this onion....

“How did Prigozhin plan to supply his rebel convict Army inside Russia?”

Well, he ALMOST got a handful of tanks the 600 miles to Moscow.

There was never any real military threat to the regime.

He doesn’t care.

If Prozhigin’s march to Moscow was a ruse to soak up NATO/CIA satellite reconnaissance assets and allow the transfer of Russian troops to another battle front unmolested, that could only be a reminder to the witch Victoria Nuland that you don’t want to play chess against Russians. If not...maybe the Russian general staff should be more grateful for Wagner’s offensive in Bahkmut and slip his troops a bonus paycheck. Prozhigin’s splitting his forces into 3 columns would have saturated satellite recon capability, so I’ll weigh that in on the side of a master chess move. Depends on how the shifting of Russian troops north plays out. It puts them much closer to Kiev, for one thing.

Was this a Russian false flag, set up to entice the Ukrainians and NATO into a rash offensive? Alternatively, was this a situation where Prigozhin was encouraged, by the Ukrainians or Americans, to start a coup? Perhaps the failure of the Russian military to join the coup caused him to back down. If the former, we will see if the Ukrainians take the bait. If the latter, Prigozhin’s life expectancy has been greater shortened.
