The criminal prosecutor is trying to use hearsay as a prosecution tool.

Don’t you even watch Judge Judy? Everybody and his steenkin’ brother knows that HEARSAY IS INADMISSIBLE. It doesn't matter - perception is reality. There are so many stupid people out there who will believe this.

Don’t Trump’s attorneys have the right to challenge that hearsay in open court, even if it is admitted into evidence, if for no other reason than to try to drain it of any power to incriminate him?

If they testify that it was a plan to attack Iran and remember some details, then Trump is toast.
But don't tell the creepy Trump cultists that. They deny everything.
Frankly, if Obama took plans to attack Israel home and showed it to his friends, the posting around here would be quite different.

Trump claims he was flipping through “papers”. They were supposedly stories on newsprint. This is the complete opposite of “secret”.
Presumably this is what the others in the room were seeing at the time-—Trump flipping through stories printed on and presumably clipped out of ordinary newsprint. If so, that should be what they’ll testify to.
That’s not so very incriminating. Or is it?

They can move for a mistrial.

The criminal prosecutor is trying to use hearsay as a prosecution tool. Admissions against self-interest is one of the numerous exceptions to the hearsay rule.

But, not if the prosecutor cannot prove the fact. I can say I killed someone, but no body, no report of one, etc., would not make me guilty.

If he responded to a subpoena that he completed the request and didn’t, we can’t rule out #1

Speak for yourself. I doubt you really think Donald Trump is stupid - but if you do, you are just embarrassing yourself.

Bravado. I like that. Nice spin. A lot better than to say he was lying.
I like it too. Let me give you another phrase: Truthful Hyperbole. This is nothing new.
President Trump likes to confuse his opponents by muddying the waters. The documents were declassified. The documents were planted. The documents are golf plans. So who knows?
In his game of 5-D chess, he has you where he wants you. You have no idea what is going to happen next, but I can give you a hint - it will Make America Great Again.
So sit back and enjoy the ride, and watch the Real Patriots bringing America into the 21st century. I'm not sure if you listened to the tape, but that behind the scenes civic debate may someday be included in the Federalist Papers.
Have you read the Art of War?

I would say the Trump loyalists have embarrassed themselves.

I would say quite the opposite. But have you checked the mirror recently? It may disclose who is.
