From what I had read, before many sites were scrubbed, was that initially a white young girl elevator operator was ‘assaulted’ by a black shoe shine man.
A bunch of white people went to the jail where the black man was being guarded by blacks. A fight started, and 10 white people were dead, as well as 2 black people.
After that, the left rewrote history.
One account I has read said a total of 26 blacks and 10 whites died. The ‘black wall street’ was burned and rebuilt.
There was not a black massacre, and attempts to find such a mass burial site with 100’s of bodies have not been successfull, because it didn’t happen.
There was supposedly a secret deal to get reparations for blacks, with the tulsa race riot survivors as the basis, but fell apart because the deal became public when someone demanded millions more than the original deal.
The whole tulsa race riot has become an attempt to get reparations.

I’m always suspicious of these libelous accusations, especially when I never hear do them until the last 10 years. I’m pretty keen on history and can’t recall in my 50 years hearing this until recently.
That doesn’t make it untrue - I’ve found out other interesting things more recently, too - but you’d think all these decades someone would ensure to keep the racial fires burning.

The article did not mention the new evening paper which printed an inflammatory front page article and an opinion piece. There are no known copies of one of two writings.

The Blacks started the violence, in which BOTH races were “massacred.” Armed Blacks drew first blood against unarmed Whites, outside the police station, no less! SO many lies told about this admittedly horrible event.
