Ditto. All those sequels including those Star War sequels were losers.
That's true. It would've been nice to get a filled in backstory. The TV series about Young Indy made a good attempt I guess, but it didn't last long...
There was only one thing that really irked me about Dial of Destiny. And that's how it treats Mutt, Indy and Marion's son.
Names are proper nouns, which become plurals the same way that other nouns do: add the letter -s for most names (“the Johnsons,” “the Websters”) or add -es if the name ends in s or z (“the Joneses,” “the Martinezes”). To show possession using an apostrophe, add ’s for individuals (“Smith’s car”) and just the apostrophe after the s for plurals (“the Smiths’ car,” “the Martinezes’ dog”).
Disney should have put the old man to bed and re-released the first movie. Would’ve made far more money.
Doesn’t look like there are very many, considering the box office disaster.
By this rule, it should be Joneses’.
No, I’m wrong here twice!
They went to the UK to find her. Most Brit actresses are required to lack attractive figures for some inexplicable reason. I know there are exceptions but generally they are built like boys.
Here it is:
For names that end in an s or z sound, though, you can either add -’s or just an apostrophe. Going with -’s is the more common choice:
the car that belongs to Jones → Jones’s car or Jones’ car
I strongly disagree. When Helena was trying to sell the dial, the conversation was the chain of possession which include; the claims who stole the dial and then Helena finishes the conversation with “it’s called capitalism.”
True, at least Keira Knightly doesn’t have a homely face.
I don’t watch tv, but friends and family do. I’ve noticed a horrible trend of ugly or fat chicks in tv and movies.
The guys aren’t Brad Pitt either…
That “hot chick” Zendaya isn’t hot and is built like a 12 year old boy.
The worst I have seen is for a girl in The Last of Us. Absolutely homely.
Kate Capshaw wasn’t available. *SMIRK*
I think it’s Jon-i…
Lol, she was so annoying with her screaming.
It was awful! She was awful! But, she’s set for life now, for sure. *Rolleyes*
The only reason I saw #2 and #3 was that I had teen boys at the time. LOVED the first movie - what fun! The rest of them? Meh. Same for me with the Star Wars franchise, though I actually have liked the ‘new’ Star Trek movies.
And ANYTHING Borg-related of course. ;)
For giggles, we recently watched the first ‘Jurassic Park’ again and by golly, that movie has held up through the years! Of course, the fact that it was written by Michael Crichton had everything to do with it - LOVED his novels. (Gone too soon!)
A movie I will watch anytime it’s on Free Government TV? ‘Waterworld.’ I am Costner’s biggest and ONLY fan of that movie. And for someone with a huge FEAR of open water, that is very perplexing to me! ;)
My favorite genre is Big. Broadway. Musicals; I grew up in, ‘Community Theater.’ Give me, ‘Oklahoma’ ‘Hello, Dolly!’ ‘Chicago’ ‘Fiddler on the Roof’ ‘West Side Story’ (NOTE: the new Spielberg edition is FAN-TASTIC!) any day of the week. :)
Okay, “B.O.” = “Box Office.”
It took me a while to figure that out.
Maybe audiences thought it was the “Dial of Dentistry.”
Or maybe they heard that Indy saves Hitler’s life again in the new movie.
“Patrick Wilson’s fifth installment in the Insidious series”
I guess that it is a series, but it doesn’t really feel like a franchise. Just movies with the same character.
The Drinker is strong in you. / Yoda
I love the RiffTrax (MST3K) treatment on Crystal Skull.
Singing to the Raiders tune:
“Running away now
Really slow
Nearly limping
‘cause he’s old old OLD!”
