Time for a special Federal Police Dept. to take over the local police and sheriff duties. Save on local taxes and etc., etc., It worked in Germany.

I am not sure that a federal police force run by the Democrats would be a good thing.

Consider: After New Year's Eve violence, German police union calls for action

Could things get any worse if there were no police at all? They don’t seem to make any difference as it is.

It’s not the Union, here; it’s the Union’s EMPLOYER.
So, what’re these union guys supposed to do?
Defy City Hall?
Tell the Mayor to go f’k herself in a broom closet?

As if that’s not just gonna end up in a tangle with lawyers lawsuits and FUBAR progressive judges??

It just won’t work. There’s no solution to Blue City problems that doesn’t involve City Hall retreating MASSIVELY from the insanity they’re promoting.

If — and it’ll NEVER happen, but IF the Union REALLY wanted to pull a Boss move on City Hall, there’s just about one way to do it, but Union leaders would REALLY need to get WAY out beyond the edge to pull it off.

They would have to go to the City Council Meeting with the ENTIRE union membership lined up behind them, look the f’n Mayor beotch square in her demonized, leftist eyeballs and TELL her, “Ma’am, you ARE GOING TO stand down and let our Officers do their jobs to the FULLEST extent Justice, Peace, and Safety DEMAND...

— OR —

We have our ENTIRE Membership of Officers in line here ready to drop their badges and service weapons in a pile on the floor right the f’k in front of your idiot face, quit the force, and leave this town to drown in the mess that YOU have created.”

So...

What’s it gonna be, bitch?
YOUR way, or the RIGHT way?
It is ALL on the line, RIGHT HERE; RIGHT NOW.
And it is YOUR CALL, and your call ALONE that will — here and now — determine the fate of this once-great City.”

I have ZERO faith that any Union now operating anywhere on planet Earth has the constitution to pull a highly-leveraged move like that. That would require a level of union solidarity we have not seen since Lech Walesa faced down Moscow.

It’s just NOT gonna happen.
But it absolutely SHOULD.
City Hall needs the entire matter brought down to one laser-focused moment of decision in front of hot mics and rolling cameras.

If the rank and file is cool with running away, they do nothing.

If they want to be able to stay in LA they need to decertify their union.

There’s no way around this, and ONLY on way through it, and the status of the union is ONLY germane if the organization will unify the Officers and rise to an epic show-down with City Leadership.

SINCE that’s a pipe dream, they pretty much have to be cool with leaving town, and doing real police work in some other town where they will be appreciated for doing real police work.

As it stands, the Officers could dissolve the union entirely and nothing in L.A. would change; it’s simply not the union that’s the head of the snake, here.

Many small counties & towns would be glad to have trained applicants.

There definitely is an adjustment in the CHANGE OF PACE-—But Lyon County, Nev—where I live was looking for deputies.

I am convinced that liberal politicians will increasingly declare emergencies (climate change) to grab ever more power.

You’re 100% right but it’s not just the liberals. There is a huge chunk of Republican’s that want the same thing.

And as unpopular as it may seem to some, many on here, we have only ourselves to blame. We keep on electing the same, tire, corrupt, worn out, greedy, incompetent, lying, hypocritical, arrogant, and disgusting people, thinking that they just might do something they promised, the next time.

We need to stop being afraid of giving someone else a chance.

And there’s abundant proof of what you stated. Rember when Paul Ryan said he couldn’t do anything about Obamacare until he had the majority? Then he got the majority. Then McConnell said there was really nothing that could you done about Obamacare unless Republicans got the majority in the Senate. Well, they got the majority in the Senate, and the House and then Ryan, McConnell, and other Republicans deliberately refused to do anything to repeal Obamacare.

And don’t get me started about how Republicans deliberately thwarted building the wall.
