The Murdoch machine has consistently been labelling DOJ moves as a means to cheat Gov. DeSantis of the nomination.
They want Trump jailed as punishment for the rest of his life because he called out their scams. Rational people understand that these are political indictments not unlike what happened/happens in Cuba, the Soviet Union, China, and Brazil among others. It’s what authoritarianism looks like in real time and the vote was absolutely rigged in 2020. 81 million votes for a walking corpse is so unbelievable but when the courts are loyal to the Democrats, there is no legal recourse.
It will be odd having a convicted felon as the GOP nominee but it’s going to happen and Trump would win in an honest election.

I disagree with Lowry’s assessment. The Democrats are using these phony indictments to try to counterbalance Biden’s corruption. To neutralize it so it can’t be used as an issue against Biden.

Maybe they wanted George Santos to win again, and prosper.
Maybe they actually liked Mannafort and the solitary confinement was an affectionate thing.
Maybe they thought all those SWAT guys and CNN Reporters were good for Roger Stone.

The Republicans, as a party, stood by and did nothing when the Media-Dem Party did the same thing to Palin. They filed a blizzard of lawsuits against her, hacked her emails, spread every type of vicious rumor, smears, and lies about her. In her case, it worked, she couldn’t afford to fight all these lawsuits, and when she asked the RNC for help, they turned their back on her. When Trump came along, they cranked up their machine way past the level that they unleashed on Palin.

I agree with the author, so predictable it's boring. It's kind of like this USA Soccer team deal, when has there ever been a controversy about athletes not SINGING the National Anthem? Can anyone say FED at those protesting the loudest? They are just stirring the pot with everything. Jason Aldean? Stirring the pot. Barbie boycott? Stirring the pot. All of this has become so predictable.
No sanity in sight for sure. And at every turn you see the word "loyalty" seemingly coming from our side. Stirring the pot. Loyalty? Really? How does that even play into things, yet it's thrown into the mix at any idea that Trump is not entitled to run a third time unopposed.
This election is shaping up to be a Perot kind of affair, there will be a third party candidate for sure. The one's pulling the strings to make a 2020 rematch might get more than they bargained for. We can only hope at this point.
Meanwhile we all ought to start figuring out how to have conversations without so many "helpers" around if you know what I mean.
