“Being a traitor and getting people killed because of it should be punished as the laws prescribe.”
Agreed.
He should have been room temperature before being shipped from Afghanistan.... Better yet, should have been burned in a sh*t barrel.
No way that the judge applying for a civilian job had anything to do with bergdahl’s desertion and the deaths resulting.
This is bogus.
Wow. If you are anti-american and sexually confused, your justice is more equal than others.
He lied. Said he was retiring when he was applying for a new job.
Sounds like Senior Judge Reggie Walton has knowledge of (tit for tat / quid pro quo / arrangements) bias involved in the negotiating of employment at the Dept. of Justice.
Or other dots that connect - that are the basis(?) of Walton’s decision.
Because, the “conflict of interest” in “applying for a job at the Justice Dept.” is not sufficiently spelled out in the story (is it?).
What do you like?
Guns
Internal combustion engines
The flag
Heterosexuality
Secure borders
Good schools
American sports
Free enterprise
Country music
A strong military
Solid small town values
Common sense
Isolating children from perversion
Fair and transparent elections
The Democrats will oppose each and every one of these.
Contrarian trash is a fair assessment.
Did he say he was retiring from the military, did he say he was retiring, the law is a joke they use it against regular people the government uses it what a horrible situation.
He should’ve been shot for treason
Most active duty military members who retire also apply for new jobs.
On the surface, it seems to that Senior Judge Reggie Walton made a good decision.
If Jeffery Nance actually had a conflict of interest, he may have possibly over sentenced or under sentenced Bergdahl depending upon who he as trying to impress.
Sometimes for Justice to be served, we have to go back & start over.
We shall see.
I met a guy that got shot looking for him.
Walton is one of the worst judges in DC, and that is a compliment! /sarc
Don’t bother looking for “reasoning”.
It’s CalvinBall from here on out.
The federal judge’s ruling can be appealed and probably will be.
Good news for the 0’biden administration: They have been looking for someone to replace Milley as Chaiman of Joint Chief’s of Staff
I don’t think a federal judge has any jurisdiction with a military courts martial verdict. I thought that authority rested with the US Court of Appeals for Military Justice.
What children? Baby killers are ‘for the children’?
The UCMJ is as far as I remember not like a civil court. I would expect this to be appealed. But if the fed proposed this there isn’t much hope. Wonder how much back pay he will get??
