Russia couldn’t just walk out—and end the war. Russia would have to turn over Putin to the war Crimes tribunal, and pay for all the destruction. Soldiers who did war crimes would need to be tried and hanged. Russian ethic people tried as traitors and collaborators. Russia humbled in such a way that the new leader might well be like Hitler seeking revenge on Ukraine and the west—a set up for a new invasion and war with the west. No simple solutions to fix this mess.
Unfortunately bombing civilian areas doesn’t make the people rise up against a particular war. You’re more likely to make them seek revenge.
But what do you really think?
