The Republicans acted on it as soon as they gained control of the House and had the power to hold hearings and subpoena witnesses. Congresscritters have no traction at all when they are in the minority.
Prior to winning back a House majority in 2022 ... well, we can go back to 2017-2020 when DJT was president. He was going to drain the swamp. The swamp won.
