They want to own ALberta’s oilsands. That’s why Trueshit has put the kibosh on helping Alberta gets its oil out of the country.

Canada is already committed to self-suicide, so the pertinent question is: what will take its place? After all, power abhors a vacuum. Extension of the Russian Empire? A Chinese occupation zone? The Islamic State of Canada (ISOC)?

A lot of Canada is dependent on diesel trucks to deliver food and other supplies to the outlying towns.

The government in Canada sounds every bit as ignorant as the one we have here.

That January “average” for Edmonton and Calgary AB are ridiculously inaccurate.

Edmonton, for example, in January quite often has consecutive WEEKS where the daily HIGH temperature is MINUS 25*, with pretty near every night bouncing off minus 40.

I lived there for several years, and my sister still does. Those average temperatures are extraordinarily inaccurate.

NOTE: the Switch to EVs alone will require investment in the Grid that costs as much as purchasing all those EVs to begin with.

That is before any new power plants are built.

First there needs to be a TRUE SCIENCE replacement for carbon based energy use, then transition into it. This GREATLY included economically feasibility as judged by the citizenry because of it being the obvious better choice both short and long term.

This “cart before the horse” is so far ahead, the cart is seen by the citizens as on the Moon.

“Canada is already committed to self-suicide, so the pertinent question is: what will take its place? “

I think a breakup is inevitable.

What the components will be probably depends on what the collapse of the DC Regime looks like.

My base case for the USA is military defeat plus economic collapse triggering a currency collapse.

In that case you have a formerly industrialized country with massive budget and trade deficits, and a rapidly depreciating currency.

At that point the self sufficient areas of the USA can safely ignore the DC gov’t because it won’t even be able to pay its own troops.

If you get to that point, anything is possible. New countries, new borders...

Time to declare a political emergency, and implement a net zero politicians policy.

Their pols are idiots, but the Deep State hiding behind is not.

Canadians have the same electronic voting machines we do.

Until Canadians secure their elections, they are screwed.

It's not incompetence.

It's intentional.

That’s not being realistic,

FTLOG

Call it what it is...a bald face lie...quit with the dissembling mumbles and spit in their faces.

Heat pumps just won’t work in Canada...there’s no heat to pump. You will be using strip backup all freaking winter. And still will be cold.

The highest electric bills I ever paid were during a Pennsylvania winter in 1996. It was an all electric house including a heat pump....$1000!!!

There was no relief from the cold. The heat pump ran continuously for days with the “Emer ht” light (backup strip) on the whole time.

For perspective, that would be $1950 in today’s dollars.

Have they given any thought to the amount of items that are made from fossil fuels? What do they use for insulating the electric wires? Tires are made of what? etc etc
