RICO was invented to be able to go after the big fish when it’s only the order takers who commit the actual crimes. It is very useful to go after powerful people who don’t actually get blood on their own hands.
It’s also useful to activist prosecutors who want to set a net and ensnare all their political enemies. Guilt by association and intimation of the public by a powerful government is not the spirit of RICO.
Trump was challenging illegitimate election results. That’s why they are bending over backward to jail him, but wouldn’t spend a single second investigating the charges of fraud, including 1,500 sworn affidavits from across the country.
The time may come when democrats start handing out indictments against Trump supporters, posting evidence of election crimes on social media platforms. Enticing the cheers of desantis supporters.
This has been going on for years. Before Trump. When I get involved in a local issue my wife warns me they’ll come after me, like Trump.
But before this I got the same warning, and I knew it was true then as well.
Here if you try to run for local office they visit your spouse at their public school job and warn them you shouldn’t run. Message: You will be fired.

The ONLY reason we’re at this point, in this country, is because voters continue to elect RINO, UNIPARTY, Establishment, GOPe, Chamber of Commerce, Country Club, the Moderate that can win, clowns at EVERY single level of government.
Pres Trump bursts onto the scene. Potentially got more votes than anyone in history and does wonderful things for this country and its citizens, with ZERO help from Congress. Not only ZERO help but flat out obstruction from Republican members of Congress.
So, how is he repaid for all that he did? Voters electing the likes of Kemp, Raffensberger, Thune, Rubio, etc etc etc. And NOT electing Republican candidates because: they ran a bad campaign, they didn’t think they were genuine, blah effin’ blah blah blah.
