The anti-Trumpers are continuously baffled that the old game doesn’t work.
The rule was hat if a Republican was accused of anything, the conservative right would abandon them post haste because any Republican must not only be clean but beyond reproach to the point of soy deference to leftist assault tactics. Oh oh, someone unsanctioned is leading, time to break out the David Duke “endorsement.”
In this way they control who we are permitted to choose from in elections by dunking the ones who aren’t with the uniparty. That was then. Then … is over.
Their problem is that we’re on to this game especially vs Trump since they’ve been running the same con with variations on him since early 2016. The accusations of grabbing didn’t work. Name calling was met by counter fire and memes. Impeachment hoax 1 and 2 failed. COVIDmania worked but everyone’s on to that one now. So now criminal charges and it only makes people more resolute.
… side thought: they go to this “his own money” thing so often that one wonders if there’s a long buried statute somewhere that they intend to use on him, perhaps if campaign funds and personal funds are mixed or some such.
