Civilians have been conscripted for quite some time in the Ukraine, some are 50 years old w/disabilities or chronic illnesses. Young men too. Zelensky has notified the Ukrainians that 'all' will have to eventually fight. Initially the Ukrainians gave untrained civilians machine guns but ammo has long since become short so I'm not sure what weapons the noobies are given.

I think Petraeus is saying Ukraine is not getting their ass kicked as badly, as say back in June. There's probably some truth to that. At least the AFU is not driving their tanks straight into minefields anymore.

On that note: Vlad has adapted very impressively to the ( current total) 900 separate sanctions, removed from SWIFT and western banks, credit frozen, NATO and 44 countries against him, $120 billion in aid, his “ energy” blockaded, and billions in advanced western military arms, equipment, and ammo given to Ukraine.
Not to mention he is further bankrupting America and the EU. There is much more to war than lines on the battlefield.
….and Vlad continues to say “ Checkmate “.
