Trump has absolutely no credibility on this issue, at all. ZERO.
He initiated the nationwide lockdowns. He’s admitted he ordered all the vaxes before even the first test was run. He scolded Governors who opened their states back up. And he even gave Fauci a service award medal on this last day in office.
Things like this are why Trump won’t debate. So he can keep his little charade going.

He scolded Kemp for opening quicker than he was actually meeting the gating criteria for phased reopening. Trump wanted to reopen quickly but not recklessly. Kemp was in panic mode because the Georgia economy was in very bad shape. Kemp was also battling ATL Mayor Kesha Lance Bottoms trying to play the Democrat lock down games.
Does anyone really care about Fauci getting a service award? The man was a liar and a sleaze but widely considered the nation's expert for a pandemic crisis. Trump pushed back on Fauci and later brought in Scott Atlas to have another voice in the room. Trump understood it wasn't just the economy but mental health, physical health and all kinds of side effects from the lock downs that he had to weight and balance. He took flack for caring about people stuck at home while the Fake News said he was just worried about the election.
Like a smart businessman, Trump pre-ordered vaccines so we'd have vaccines ready to go if they turned out to be safe & effective. It was worth risking the capital to take what could be a nation-saving preventative step. These companies were competing to "save the world" from Covid-19. Project Warp Speed was SMART.
I've always said if you don't want a Covid vaccine, don't get a Covid vaccine. Trump was not in favor of vaccine mandates, only recommendations. Pfizer held back its Phase 3 trial results until after election day probably to hurt Trump. I'll always believe that. Moderna reported a little later. Covid vaccine passports and mandates were a Biden era thing.
As an "essential worker" I got my Moderna shots with no regrets. I do not regret not getting the Pfizer shots.
What Democrat fascists and Joe Biden did, after Trump saved millions of lives with his Covid policy, is on them. Far more Americans died after the vaccines were available, with better understanding of treatments and relatively less virulent strains in 2021 under Biden than in 2020 under Trump when the virus was novel & a big UNKNOWN with no vaccines or known treatments.
