Yeah ur done...There is no existential threat .... you forgot that part of my post. It sounds familiar ? then you should know how it will go. The Ukrainians will run out of meat shields and it will be the US coming in to bail them out, with boots on the ground. Sounds awesome. But hey it least it will be over there. Probably only cost us a trillion or 2.

Fellow proletarian, we working people have been losing ground (after taxes and after inflation) since 1999. Ukraine is just the most recent “explanation.”

In terms of politics, it’s comforting to explain away defeat, but I’ll paraphrase Trump: I prefer a winner. I’ll quote somebody people in Wisconsin should recognize. “Winning isn’t the most important thing. Winning is everything.” Vince Lombardi

Exactly! Wikipedia has prepared a list of wars, invasions, “special military operations”, proxy wars and general military mischief that Russia has been involved in or instigated going all the way back to the 830’s. For the mathematically challenged, that’s approximately 1,200 years.

There are hundreds of them. In recent history, and to name just a very tiny few, remember the Cuban missile crisis, remember Cuba, remember Russian Invasions of Czechoslovakia, Afghanistan, Ukraine, Crimea, Finland, Baltic States. Remember fighting America in Vietnam and Grenada. Remember this past month threatening to “take Alaska back”.

As this list (see link below) of hundreds of invasions, occupations, proxy wars and general mischief proves going back 1,200 years, Russia is the most aggressive, militaristic, murderous country on earth and always has been.

Every Russian soldier the Ukraine kills is one Russian Soldier that will never kill one of our boys.

Wow. You argue with me when I'm in total agreement with what you posted. The OP twisted your words to say something you never said. I won't interject again, I promise.

"Because Russia is an existential threat to the U.S."

OK!

What's with all the geriatric Cold Warriors and those madly in love with Youcrayne pushing that load of crap?

The Soviet Union collapsed thirty years ago. It's not going to be reconstituted

After two years of trying, Russia can't even defeat a low-rent, busted out, corrrupt craphole like Youcrayne, a country it borders, yet we're to believe it's an existential threat to the US?

The most existential threats to the US are globalists, leftists, scumocrats and warmongering neocons and RINOs inside the US. Interesting how nearly all of that filth supports sending our tax dollars to Youcrayne, the most corrupt country in Europe.

tnx Cen,

We helped to bring the endless cycle of war to a conclusion with our kind treatment of the defeated powers at the end of WWII. We offered this solution to Russia, but the prospect of living in peace and prosperity in tandem with the countries of central and western Europe was much too alien to them.

Exactly, and if you look at the Wikipedia list going back over a thousand years you find nothing but aggression in all directions, unnecessary slaughter of innocents including their own citizens and soldiers, breaching of all contracts and treaties and just general and continuous treachery and cruelty to all.

We, the U.S., are better then Machiavelli. Look what we did with Germany, Italy and Japan after WWII. And, South Korea and Taiwan.

We’re the U.S. We have no natural enemies. Only potential friends. If the damn idiots around the world could figure this out, we’d put an end to the cycle of war that has thus far characterized history.

The lion will lie down with the lamb when we’re the lion. Peace through strength, baby.
