This ia a week old article with outdated information. The lar info was that 1700 have not reinrolled in public schools. They have no way of knowing if they have enrolled in public schools or are homeschooling or left the state entirely. The current missing list is around 300.

It would be easy for Maui kids to leave the state. They just have to hop on a bus and go across the border to relatives. Then enroll where their relatives or friends live.
Umm, no. Flight manifests could be crossed checked with the names of missing kids to see exactly how many have gone overseas.

Well, has the INCOMPETENT HAWAIIAN government telephoned the parents of the “missing” kids to ask where they are? School records usually include the cell phone numbers of the parents or guardians.
I’m guessing you’re right about the children being homeschooled. At least I hope you are. And if you’re not then a reason for the black fence appears and the incompetent asses in the local government especially the Obama protege who refused to release the water until it was too late will be lucky to escape lynching if there are that many crispy kids. So what does the government do when it screws up big time? Hide it and if that fails blame white Republican men and Trump.
I heard the schools sent the kids home early because of the heat. That would have put a lot of kids at their homes without their parents. I hope the kids are alive and well.

When you register into a new school you have to state your previous school(s). Of course records would not be readily available, at least paper records, but the new school could at least compile a list of new students attending their schools.
