Yep it's art. AI or not it'll generate a conversation, evoke an emotional response. Love it or hate it or someplace in between, it's a visual statement.
Personally it's not my cup of tea but I sure can see that there would be an audience for it.

“Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right.”

I am missing something here..
There are massive bodies of 100s/ 1000s of years of amazing art from almost every culture. Chinese, Japanese, India, Iraq/ Babylon, indonesia, Central and S. America. etc.
Sticking an Anglo face on a Ming era vase? Or carving Vikings onto a 1000+ year old Hindu temple?
not so much, to me.

This artist is making an anti-White statement. It is low level art. By the way, some incredible and beautiful work has come out of Africa and there is no need for this sophmoric virtue signalling.

Cultural Appropriation everything they groan and grumble about endlessly.
Oh the humanity they are stealing our heritage . What ????
Hypocrites.
To: yesthatjallen
Where is the art of any culture that could stand comparison with that of the European Renaissance?
To: yesthatjallen
Reimagining somebody’s art is either copyright infringement or plagiarism no exceptions.
To: yesthatjallen
lol talk about cultural appropriation. Wouldn’t expect anything else from a people who were incapable of conceiving of the wheel or written language.

Apparently, cultural appropriation is only acceptable if blacks do it.

African art is garbage. They develop no craft and the imagery is either violent and disturbing or sex related. I went to a well promoted African Exhibit in Santa Fe and it was entirely penis covers that where woven out of reeds and grasses and believe it or not, functionally used in penetration. I almost threw up.

“so they have to copy Western art.”
I think she is not trying to copy anything. This is a feeble attempt to mock Western art. I am still trying to figure out what point she was making by giving Venus that blotchy skin disease.
