A number of FReepers were warning the (unfortunately a) majority of fellow FReepers that the whole Lin Wood/Sidney Powell talk was hot air. Now at least all FReepers can see the truth.

Oh, and they are worse than ‘actors.’ They shifted attention from REAL ISSUES to side shows, and wasted a lot of valuable time and resources. The sad thing is that so many FReepers were dumb enough to believe their nonsense.

I guess that’s why many here also believed servers in Venezuela, shootouts in Germany between Delta Force and the CIA, and all sorts of other nonsense.

Now some are even questioning if Sidney Powell pleaded guilty - so willing to keep believing a charlatan, even now.

I hope President Trump wins the election, and that when he does he clearly watches who he has around him. Too many of his staff stabbed him in the back.

Watching updates on the court and court actions on the trials in Atlanta/Fulton County, Georgia... it reminds me so must of the movie “Planet of the Apes”.

and I have the likely hood of the last scene in the Planet of the Apes coming true in real life of America

I don’t report anybody dipshit. I just call out the trolls like you.

You get just enough rope and sooner or later, you manage to wrap it around your neck, tie it to a tree limb and jump like hell.

I consider myself to be a BIG skeptic and able to filter out the lies and propaganda that are presented to us every day. I was fooled by these clowns (Lin Wood/Sidney Powell), though. Actually, they both had made significant accomplishments in their not-too-distant past (Wood-Richard Jewel, Powell-Flynn). Maybe I was fooled because I so much believed the underlying story that the election was fabricated and stolen - which I still believe to this day.

In any event, this just sharpens my skeptic brain cells.

I hope President Trump wins the election, and that when he does he clearly watches who he has around him. Too many of his staff stabbed him in the back.

Trump is clearly not the perfect man (or woman) to run this country. He's proven that. Further, it remains to be seen if he'll be on the ticket next November. But he's the best we got at the moment.

Trump is a promoter and is usually promoting himself. One of his major management flaws, at least in government, was hiring the wrong people for critical positions (Barr, Sessions, Haley, Pompeo, Bolton, etc.). I'm not sure that might not still be a flaw.

Clearly, the best in my lifetime was Ronald Reagan! He missed a few putts but not many, and he was an excellent communicator. He made us all feel good about our country and ourselves. That's over now -- at least in part.

I hear you on Trump. He’s not perfect. Far from it. In many ways JFK was probably more Conservative than President Trump (or any other Republican President since GHWB the senior).

But I also agree with you that he’s the best we have now. He is easily the best chance for the country. Maybe the only chance for the country.

If the Dems win, it’s over. If a RINO runs on our side, he will lose and the Dems will win.

President Trump, for all his flaws, is the best we have. Is the best the World has - because Biden will bring the World to war.

If people pray they’d better pray for Trump to win. Because if he’s off the ballot, and that is the plan, then it is likely over. I really hope and pray President Trump is able to run, and that he wins.

As for Wood and Powell - there’s something I said a couple years ago when they were all the rage. That when the dust settles, it will probably be revealed that the whole ‘kraken’ thing was a Dem plant. Real misinformation, misdirection, and manipulation that was meant to dilute focus from the REAL issues by giving concerned citizens more ‘succulent’ information to keep people barking up the wrong tree. Media articles that start with ‘boom.’ Spicy spy thrillers of shootouts in German cities between CIA operatives and CAG (Delta) over US voter information stored in German servers. Smoking trails off, ahem, ‘real’ information of how Hugo Chavez, before he died, greenlit Venezuela to work on election software that, years later, was used to flip votes in the US!

All that did was soak up attention from real questions, and shift the focal point to fallacies. Even people like Rep Gohmert of Texas believed it and started repeating tales of the US Army snatching the mystery servers in Germany!

It all took away attention from real stuff, and many people unfortunately believed it.

Many still do! I know this will p!ss off people - even maybe the management of FR - but I STRONGLY believe that the whole ‘Q’ movement was nothing but another Dem operation! They’ve been ‘trusting’ things and deciphering secret messages for some time now - what’s the result of all of that? As the Good Book asks, what are the fruits? What happened to all the big events that were to happen? What happened to the arrests that were to happen before the inauguration? The National Guard preparations? Pelosi at GitMo?

Some, including me, tried to warn people. But we were ignored, and at one point even told by some senior people here to keep quiet and stop mocking the Q people (at one point we were openly mocking their stupidity …yes, I used the ‘s’ word) until they were given their ‘safe space’ where they could say whatever they wanted without question.

In the same way it is clear to all that Lin Wood and Sidney Powell were jokers, it will also be proven some day that the whole Q movement was an operation meant to make good-hearted but quick-to-believe Conservatives look foolish.

I just hope it happens during a Trump second term, because if he is not elected I just don’t see another path that doesn’t result in a Dem presidency.

"So they convinced her and her lawyer(s) that the stacked Judge, Prosecutor and Jury would convict her because that’s how Fulton County rolls. IOW, they’d convict regardless of evidence and the sentence would be the maximum. So she cuts a deal for no jail time. Simple."

You said it better than I said it on the Chesebro thread.

"This was lawfare, but Kenny had the money to go the distance.

He pled because there is zero chance of acquiring a 'jury of his peers' in Fulton County.

Note that every bit of lawfare against President Trump is not just lawfare, but the complete inability to seat an impartial jury in Fulton County, in Manhattan, and the District of Columbia.

There is no cure for this other than retribution under TrumpII. "

"Gee, you know the REAL reason why he can’t get a decent lawyer?

Because he is the WORST client ever!! He won’t shut the F*** up!! What do lawyers tell their clients? Be quiet. Don’t talk. If you talk, it can be used against you.

And what Trump do? Runs his mouth. CONSTANTLY. He can’t help it. What law firm is going to want anything to do with a client who does nothing but hurt his own case?"

You amuse.

Nothing more, but amusement is useful.

You talk like someone who has a lot of experience dealing with legal issues and attorneys. And lost. Repeatedly.

The best part of all this?

Fischetti, Corcoran, Rowley, Consovoy McCarthy PLLC, Chris Kise, Alina Habba, Mike Madaio, Drew Findling, Dwight Thomas, Jesse Binnall.

You couldn't afford one hour of time with any of Trump's attorneys.

Well I mean, of course. But I’m just saying most are assuming the evidence is “nothing”

I said if she fell for that then she’s a sucky attorney.

So it all depends on if she’s actually guilty or if she fell for a line.

It’s gotta be one.

Unless there’s some obscure georgia law that wasn’t cited in her plea that they used. Which wouldn’t make sense

Again, if the county commissioners invited them and let the investigators in and her only crime was she paid them, I’m still not getting how that was an intentional crime if she believed they had the authority to do so.

The a jury trial is the perfect place to expose that.

I think they bluffed her. But I admit also to not knowing all the details

I don’t know all the details either. But I think she figured that it’s better to plead to a couple of misdemeanors that will be erased from her record than endure the cost of a political trial.

You and I exchanging views is much like talking in an echo chamber :-). While I don't have an opinion on the "Q" thing and don't get too worked up over it, I tend to agree with most of what you say.

My point in the comment about Trump not making it to the election is that a) he's got to live that long, b) will the Dems succeed in winning with their effort to erase him by our so-called justice system, and c) will he pull a stupid and foolish stunt that kills him politically. Not that any of those WILL happen, but they could in a year. A year is a long time.

Finally, a view we have not touched on, that you may or may not agree with, is that the third-world nations/global south is growing in stature. Just like we raise kids, and they grow up and become adults and begin to make their own decisions -- and not necessarily follow yours as they have for years. The Dems and Biden have accelerated that phenomenon. We see it in BRICS, Shanghai Corporation, Russia - China block, and the resulting loss of influence we have in the world.

In other words, the kids have grown up, they are strong, and it's time for us to deal with them in "grown-up" dialog and not threats/war. The bullying, invading, bribing and threatening days are winding down for us.

We better recognize that this is not 1946, and we no longer are the last man standing in the world. It will take a smart and strong leader in our country to do that.

Otherwise, it will not end well for us or anyone else on the planet.
