One of the first things they did after Biden was erected President was to cut off supplies to the Saudis for fighting the Houthis and remove US air defenses from Saudi.

The Saudis were then attacked by missiles from the Houthis and basically agreed to turn Yemen over to the Houthis as long as they weren't attacked.
