It may be that the Palestinians in Gaza who are not terrorists have one chance: Revolt at risk of death. For this to work, Israel must bring back the cell phone coverage. If Israel roof taps a building, then the Pali's must get out regardless if Hamas tells them to stay or not. If Hamas kills those trying to get out of a building, at least there will be a video record. Perhaps that exposure of the evil of Hamas to its own people can be the beginning of the end for Hamas...

I strongly disagree with Luttwak (and every other professional) who claims that the Hamas "land invasion" was a massive Israeli intelligence failure.
The alleged invasion was a murderous (and suicidal) incursion.
Hamas entered Israel at seven points. They advanced one mile or less at three points. Their deepest penetration was less than four miles - at the music festival.
I have not seen the exact Israeli death toll from the Hamas sudden rocket assault.
However, it is possible that close to 50% of the land invasion fatalities and hostages came from the music festival.
Hamas invaded Israel with 2,000 Suicide Soldiers.
1,500 of those Suicide Soldiers were killed.
NO military professional in the entire world predicted that Hamas would attack Israel with 2,000 Suicide Soldiers.
The State Department is the deep state. These are the career bureaucrats that have been undermining the United Stated for decades.
