A “peaceful path”
That’s only been tried about what, a billion times. They only respond to one thing. Death and destruction. Israel needs to level the entire region, claim it and salt it so nothing ever grows again. Then go to Iran and do the same. Kill them all and let God sort it out.

That only works when the enemy actually cares if they die or their family dies. Hamas doesn’t. So you kill about 5% of the terrorists in the world, they go back in hiding, and they come out again in the future doing the same things they did this time. The cast may be different, but the intent is the same. You can’t win a war with killing them a little at a time.
But you could easily win the nobel peace prize if you can figure out a way to make them stop what they are doing and not waste time and people. This has been going on all over the world since before the time of Christ.
Another thing to think about is that if you could clean out Hamas from the Gaza, another group would just move in.

The proper humanitarian impulse here would be to utterly destroy the sort of people who would do what Hamas has done.
Any “humanitarian pause” translates to time for Hamas to recoup for its next round of attacks. Any idiot knows that.
And if they don't get the point, keep speaking the "language" until they either get the point or they're all gone.
