Legislation accomplishes NOTHING!

It’s the “enforcement” that does something.

With the number of guns in this country, that horse has left the barn.

If you don’t care for long posts, stop right here.🥴

The ugly gun grabbing voices are at full shrill, once again!

That gives me a reason to post this rather long message to you all.

At the end you will have more information than most of the folks in this country!

Sadly, that would seem to include the SCOTUS!

TENCH COXE

All of this man’s writings are on the 2nd and ... There are a lot!

The problem I have is that the 100’s of his writings are available online but they are all in PDF form and I don’t know how to do a link to them.

To start:
Our Right’s are God given and I don’t need permission from politicians to exercise them!

Why is it so damn hard for people to understand that allowing others to deem what you can or can’t own for your protection will one day Own you!?
________________________

Does the Constitution’s right to keep and bear arms apply to everyone? Or only to law enforcement and the National Guard?

Does the right include so-called “assault weapons?”

One of my founding heros and one who has written more on the Constitution as it applies to the 2nd amendment than all the others combined ... TENCH COXE.

Few people know of Coxe today, but during the founding era he was famous.

He served in the Confederation Congress.

After the Constitution was ratified he became our first assistant secretary of the treasury, working directly under Alexander Hamilton.

Coxe wrote a series of op-eds to accurately explain the Constitution’s legal effect.

His informal style was much easier to understand than the scholarly tone of The Federalist, and his articles became extremely popular.

If you will take a little time to read the material that I have provided .. you will come to understand more about the 2nd amendment and it’s real purpose, as our founders meant it to be!

Coxe wrote: “Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birth-right of an American.”

In other words, the right to keep and bear includes military arms, not just hunting pieces.

Rifles such as the AR-15 (misleadingly branded “assault weapons”) are protected, not despite the fact that they are military weapons, but because they are military weapons!

Coxe added, “The unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments, but where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people.”

(The tired and overused word the people fall for, “militia” is just that.

All the regular people become a Militia when coming together to fight a common enemy!)

The Revolutionary War had ended only five years before.

If the American citizens had not possessed military-style weapons, we would have lost.

Coxe wrote further, “Congress have no power to disarm the militia.
What clause in the state or federal constitution hath given away that important right?”

Tench Coxe was an abolitionist who acknowledged that freeing slaves would allow them to keep and bear arms, an observation that the U.S. Supreme Court would make decades later in its infamous 1859 Dred Scott decision.

This passage was composed well before the Second Amendment was proposed.
Even then, Congress had no power to disarm the people.

They saw that WE saw what happened in Israel. We are more thankful for our freedoms after that display of the massacre of the unarmed. We have been talking about it...they do not want us to see the reality

I swear they want us there: being massacred. I know the guy was a nut case the idiots decided to release, but sometimes it looks purposeful to achieve that massacre of Americans to control our second amendment right.

Like far too many Democrats, I suspect that this guy was able to win in a Red district by being on the ‘right side’ of several key issues (including gun control, of course). It’s really sad as it means that many conservative voters will still vote for ‘their Democrat’ while compartmentalizing the fact that ‘their Democrat’ is part of the party that is literally destroying the country. But now that he’s outed himself, he may find keeping his seat a bit tougher.

...and, sadly, these voters remind me of other ‘conservative’ voters who think that there is ‘no difference between the parties’ and so vote 3rd party, or sit out elections, thereby helping the Democrats to advance their horrific agenda. Lenin had the best term for these types: “Useful Idiots”

“ Knives are assault weapons - so are machetes, hammers, drills... just about anything can be used to “assault” people. “

It would be mighty tough to blow away a couple dozen people with a hammer, drill, machete…

Assault weapons are designed to do just that.

Golden was only able to win due to the influx of leftists (from states that they’d previously destroyed) to southern Maine, and the fact that they voted en masse for “ranked choice voting”. The people in Maine’s 2nd district which Golden “represents”, and which has been traditionally red, no longer stand a chance come election time. Ask Bruce Poliquin his thoughts on RCV. Both Golden, and the useless RINO Collins found the “strength” last evening to step in front of the microphones up here for their necessary “face time”. That’ll be the last time we hear from/see either one unless it’s advantageous to their political careers.
When people mention calling my elected reps to complain sadly, I’m only able to roll my eyes in disgust.

Where were the CCW folks?

Printing in a bar in Maine is a crime as is being judged intoxicated by a cop. Both locations had bars. It’s possible there was no-one carrying.

The other factor may be an unwillingness to protect the crowd. When I lived in Albuquerque I decided well ahead of time my firearms would only be used to protect me and mine. No way I put myself at the mercy of a leftist prosecutor for a crowd that votes 60/40 for more crime.

The RKBA might not have had anything to do with it, if indeed the two target locations were GFZs as I have read they are.
