Turkey is NOT capable of doing any massive attack on Israel....it would be like shooting fish in a barrel. Ask Egypt and Iraq, they had their militaries destroyed trying to move across deserts out in the open...
It should not have required the current crisis for Israel to recognize Erdogan’s “modern” Turkey is no friend, and literally never has been. Israel should not forget the Turks once controlled “Palestine” for 400 years, and Erodgan is as intent on restoring the Ottoman’s glory as Putin is on restoring Russia’s.

They’re plenty of towns along the way, they have been active in Syria for some time, a war has been going on, all along the way, they could always go thru Lebanon first, which is much closer, who would stop them, Hezbollah ??
Hezbollah would join in and be their ally.
If they had to fight their way thru all that, it would be practically impossible, however, the territory along the way has groups that would be their allies.
As another poster pointed out, coming from the sea would be practically impossible.
I was just looking at it again on a map, they’re places in Turkey along the Mediterranean coast that are less than 200 miles from Beirut, along the coast with multiple paved highways.
On maps that show the road system, multiple highways exist connecting their two countries, thru fairly large cities like Iblid, Aleppo, and others, it would not be desert all the way thru hostile territory.
My perspective, knowing some people who live in Turkey, live by keeping their feelings and thoughts to themselves - same as some people do in Iran. The old ones remember relative, particularly individual, freedom from Islamic enforcement (when it was not as rigid). And some of the young, follow up with their ancestors’ leanings.
(Youngsters whom I meet, like visiting the U.S. They really like the relative freedom.)
My impression is, that Turkish combat troops are nudged to act, but under threat from commanders, they will engage, get forceful, and apply themselves.
Turkish Air Force is very capable, with what it has. It can deliver bombs with very good accuracy - plus or minus a few feet. I am uncertain about air to air combat.

google the “6 DAY WAR”...or the HIGHWAY OF DEATH in Iraq. Israeli pilots would have a field day....
IAF would be tied up with Hezbollah, Hamas and probably Syria and Iran lobbing missiles into Israel.
Plus, the Russian Air Defense systems all over Syria that weren’t there during the 6-day war. You can’t count out what Russia and their air force and air defense systems would do and Turkey has a modern air force as well.
Are any of those opposing forces the equal of Israel, probably not, added together it would likely prevent Israel from establishing air superiority.
Which is why the US would have to get involved in a major way or Turkey would overrun Israel IMO.
Nope. The Muslims suck when it comes to conventional warfare. But they're masters when it comes to deception so that's why they can do terrorism.
A Western led military always have the advantage over their enemies due to the nature of their training and command even if the equipment and the arms are similar so on paper it should be a draw. Saddam had a million men in his military in 1991. But they were worthless.

Look, if Turkey massed any troops for an attack on Israel, theyd be obliterated before they got half way there. Syria etc all still use Russian made garbage. They were no match in 1967 and theyd be no match now. Notice Egypt hasn’t said a word about any of this....they got their fill of IDF in 67 and 73. Hezbollah does have a lot of missles in Lebanon, but you cant fire em all at once. Remember, when they fire their missles, they expose their locations. See, what these stupid terror groups dont understand, they are all tightly packed into a very small area of Gaza and Southern Lebanon....its a fighter/bombers dream. One US carrier could destroy em all in one week...and Israel is more than capable. Might take them a little while, but they could/would do it.
That’s assuming the carriers didn’t get taken out, a stray Kinzahl missile could do the trick.
Let all those forces attack at once and the equation changes immediately. How would Israel get resupplied in a long war without massive US Support, with what we’ve given Ukraine how much support do we have left.

Yes, Israel has probably the best missile defense system in the world, it could be overwhelmed in a sustained missile attack.

exactly right....all Arab/Muslim nations are terrible at warfare. But, they can kill un armed women and children with the best of em. LOL@ Saddams fearsome ‘REPUBLICAN GUARD”...if they werent surrendering they were retreating. I still marvel at the “6 DAY WAR” ..Israel defeats 5 Arab armies and triples their land size for good measure. They had the entire Eygtian Army trapped in the desert...could have marched right on in to CAIRO if they wanted too. I just hope they finish off Hamas and dont give in to media/political pressure. Those Jews can fight baby...

they don’t have to be great at conventional warfare, they just need a lot of conventional warfare, with all the forces combined coming at Israel from different directions with long range missiles putting all of Israel in range and the equation changes without a major US response.
The last time Israel went into Lebanon to fight Hezbollah, it didn’t work out so well, how many rogue Muslim fighters from Egypt, Syria, Jordan, and all over the world streaming into the middle east would create a chaotic situation
Israel for it’s size is an elite military, fighting off all the forces that could align against them would change the equation and put them in real danger of being overrun without a major US involvement.
