Could it be that he tried to see how to NOT do it?

I’ll bet not, and even give you odds.

The company is Rivian. That’s the company that builds electric trucks that will cost tens of thousands to repair after a minor accident.

https://www.theautopian.com/heres-why-that-rivian-r1t-repair-cost-42000-after-just-a-minor-fender-bender/

That company should go under, and in no circumstances should the taxpayers bail them out.

Wait a minute. I thought Podesta was Biden's Spirit Soup and Comet Pizza pedophile czar?

EVs sold to a select group. When that market was saturated, that was the end.

They are not reducing oil consumption. The buyers are urban and never drove any significant distance before they owned an EV. So there is no reduction in their oil consumption.

And so oil gets burned. The covid virus reduced oil consumption far more than EV sales.

Well. The F150 is up to $5000+ to repair a tail light.

https://www.thedrive.com/news/how-this-2018-ford-f-150s-faulty-taillight-turned-into-a-5600-repair

All of the new vehicles have become excssively expensive to repair.

I will never forget the statement from the analyst who examined the Solyndra $$ Federal handout. He predicted correctly, to the date, when Solyndra would collapse. Solyndra was selling products at a specific loss per each item. Performing basic math, he estimated accurately, the date of closure, the date the money would run out. I happened to be listening to KSFO in San Francisco on the morning of the closure. A Solyndra employee called the radio show and described the mayhem. All the employees had been called in for a meeting. They announced their shutdown. Spending other people’s money is so easy for some people (as long as they get their 10%)

Parked next to a Rivian at a local soccer match. Asked the owner how far he can go in it. “The books says 385 miles.” Asked him if that was before he turned the heat on. His face went blank and he disappeared into the crowd.

Delaware Auto Plant Has ‘Rebirth’ With $528 million US Funding, Biden Says
Hunter gets a $125,000 Fisker sports car
Company went belly-up soon after Biden gave them the loan of tax dollars

Then Vice President Joe Biden said the purchase of a former General Motors Corp. assembly plant in his home state using government financing would be a “rebirth” for the auto plant. Biden was at a former GM plant in Wilmington, Delaware, today to announce its purchase by Fisker Automotive Inc.

The company will use a $528.7 million federal loan to help fund the purchase and retrofit the factory. The closely held startup will spend $175 million to upgrade the plant, where it expects to build as many as 100,000 plug-in hybrid cars.

It’s worse than that.
Democrats form the companies, grant them no-bid contracts, supply them with taxpayer dollars, then bankrupt the companies, after stripping the cash out for themselves.
Rinse & repeat.
