Our neighbors bi-polar adult son, left a western state traveling to D.C. making multiple threats he was going to kill the President (Obamas first term). The FEDS arrested him finding multiple weapons in his car. He has been in several federal high security prison/mental facilities ever since, recently being allowed to leave on weekends under the supervision of his family.
Until Congress passed the Community Mental Health Act of 1963, they usually were.
There were very few mass shootings and no school shootings until Congress "fixed" the problem, suggesting that what was done before 1963 was working. And what has been done since 1963 isn't working.
It’s not difficult at all. “Shall not be infringed.” Not, “Shall not be infringed, as long as you have a mental health check.” Easy. That just means if nutcases have access, I sure the hell better have access. Nutcase goes on a rampage, they need to be put down.
The victim’s families should sue the Police as
individuals and Officers. Not one person
spoke up BEFORE the atrocity. NOT ONE.

Don’t know much about the National Guard but couldn’t he have been ordered to active duty and,once activated,be ordered to see an Army psychiatrist? Seems to me that that could have been done.

HR had him as a protected class and I didn’t want to get fired.

And people expect the police to protect us. The only thing that works is CCW. You at least have that split second to pull your weapon and shoot.

You lock them up in a mental health ward.
If you are locked up in a mental health ward you are separated from your guns.
Exactly. I was in medical school when the mental hospitals were still open. There were no mass shootings. There were places to put the homeless addicts. Most of today’s big social problems started in the early 60’s thanks to the commiecrats.

That seems like a reasonable idea. He still was in the Reserves right? Too much trouble I guess. Just like it was too much trouble for the cops to try to check in with him again.

Yep and he only started hearing voices two weeks ago. I think schizophrenia comes on a little more gradually than that.
