One of the reasons they should allow DC to become a state but that everything in the Beltline as well as key suburbs with DC workers outside of it become part of that state. Then Virginia becomes dark red and Maryland becomes a swing state.

The DC workers in NoVa will never support becoming part of DC. Why should they? Youngkin was but a blip in otherwise blue Virginia.

DC Statehood is about the almost entirely poor, black population who live within the district. Not the wealthier white people who only work there.
