Unless my wife or kids were in the car I wouldn’t risk my life to keep it from being stolen.
OTOH I live in rural Texas. In the very unlikely event someone tried to steal my car I would just shoot him.
Does anyone still sell cars with manual transmission?
I learned how to drive in an old truck with three on the tree and later moved up to four on the floor. My first several cars were manual transmission. The first car I ever bought with automatic was for my wife in our early 30s. I haven't owned a vehicle with manual in almost 30 years now.
When I taught my kids how to drive I wanted to teach them how to drive manual, but couldn't find a car that I could buy, borrow or rent with standard transmission.
My rollback has an 18 speed. I wish them the best of luck even finding first gear

There was a carjacking case where the carjackers shot the driver dead when they realized that they couldn’t drive a stickshift..

I own several cars and one pickup truck with a manual transmission.
keep letting them do this....IN BROAD DAYLIGHT....with people milling about, no telling what they'll do next....
of course they're already raping women in the middle of the day on the streets.....
fight people....life is not worth living if you live in fear and have every single dignity taken from you by low IQ animals...
