The Guardian newspaper...

LOL!

They call the neo-Marxist candidate a "centrist."

"However, experts say concerns over Milei’s mindset may be insufficient to save Massa’s campaign, given Argentina’s economic woes.

“This is a failed government with a record level of inflation and he is the minister for the economy,” said Federico Finchelstein, an Argentinian historian who studies the new wave of rightwing populists leaders, including Trump, Bolsonaro and Milei.

“So [people think]: ‘Between a terrible thing and a crazy guy, let’s go for crazy, because perhaps it’s better than a terrible thing.’”

Finchelstein, who works at New York’s New School for Social Research, doubted most voters were enamored of Milei’s far-right ideas or foul-mouthed style. “But you have two really bad candidates and the question in Argentina is: ‘Which is the lesser evil?’”

One Brazilian newspaper said many of the undecided voters who will decide the election saw their choice as being between Dracula and Frankenstein, with Mary Shelley’s mad scientist representing Milei."

Well, for starters, every reference like that usually refers to The Creature colloquially as "Frankenstein".

And yeah, I'm always going to take my chances with Frankie over Dracul...

Are they holding their breath in fear of the “far right” candidate winning? Or not winning?

Who is holding their breath? Answer: Liberals (aka Far Left).

Yes and notice the carefully chosen words The Guardian used:

Teetering…think ready to fall…then DIE. As in worst disaster in your life.

Or ‘’erratic” far right…. Think Unreliable, uncertain, turbulent.

I have a feeling if it was a socialist in the same story they would use more subdued terms.

Using Words as weapons has always been a superior tool of the left.

I noticed that too. To the media, “far right” means what we see as common sense.

He will be run out of Argentina like the Brazillian president. They can’t have him win.

Argentina had to put up with three successive Peron demagogues, military coups, Juntas, massive “disappearings” of people of whom the Juntas disapproved, some for good reason and some not. An unnecessary war with Britain that they lost badly, hyperinflation, leftist guerillas, and so on and so forth and dooby dooby dooby. Now they have Milei! Does he mean tweet?

Never forget that Robert Mugabe was the centrist candidate for president of Zimbabwe supported by the chattering media classes as the right person to end white rule and usher in a new moderate government. There was a more radical guy named Sithole whom they triangulated against. Remember how that worked out?

Exactly. It's personal freedom vs living as a drone in the collective.
