The police refused to admit that “rumors” of the ethnicity of the attacker turned out to be true and they covered up the truth. And slandered the people who caught the slasher, held him and took his knife away, and held him for the much later cops to show up and fill out their reports. Citizen action.
Courage against a slasher who had harmed a woman and children already.
Cops withheld the truth.
That is unforgivable.

And NOTHING about race. Occasionally they’ll give clues, “Wearing a Starter Jacket....” but can’t say race - even if a dozen more people get murdered.
