They're two separate distinct religions, ya know. Just like how Protestants branched off of the Catholic Church, the Catholic Church separated itself from the Christian Church.
The Pope says enough bad stuff without putting someone else's words into his mouth.
That’s complete nonsense. There was no Christian church to speak of before AD450 that wasn’t also Catholic.
You said Catholicism is just a money making scheme. Isaid it’s not limited to Catholics, or any other denomination or religeon. Or anything else for that matter.
Was Judas Iscariot a Protestant or a Catholic?
The pope should talk, he who lives in opulence, has unlimited security, and a chauffeur driven popemobile to ride around in. I’ll be he doesn’t cook his own meals, do his own laundry, or clean his own room either.
Everything Catholics need the *church* to do for them requires or asks for a *donation*.
Wow… that’s some blatant projection by this Pope… he can start by divesting the wealth of the papacy.
Yes. Isn’t the first time. The history of the Papacy and the Vatican through the centuries is a pretty lurid tale at times. But then so is Genesis. God knows what He’s doing, But as He said, “My ways are not your ways.” Meaning, Have faith and don’t second guess God.
The Catholic Church did not exist until 325. The Council of Nicea.
Read your History.
Same here - they don’t even know their own Bible, but that’s for another thread.
Some of the greatest Evangelists I’ve ever met are former Catholics. We know what deception is.
Francis is as antipope as it can possibly get.
And responses like yours just make people want to run back to the warm, loving arms of the Roman church....
Or not.....
Here, this might help.......
Was Judas Iscariot a Protestant or a Catholic?
Neither of course. Catholicism began in 325. Protestantism in 1517.
Leo X was one of the two Medici popes and had a pretty colorful family history of his own.Talk about foxes in the vineyard.
He will serve the Antichrist well, this one.
First, please understand that we intend no offense in the wording of this question. We genuinely receive questions, from Catholics, along the lines of “What is the difference between Catholics and Christians?” In face-to-face conversations with Catholics, we have literally heard, “I am not a Christian, I am Catholic.” To many Catholics, the terms “Christian” and “Protestant” are synonymous. With all that said, the intent of this article is that Catholics would study what the Bible says about being a Christian and would perhaps consider that the Catholic faith is not the best representation of what the Bible describes.
There is exactly nothing in history that demonstrates that. It’s a myth.
Read your Catholic Church teachings. There really was a Council of Nicea. Now you may not believe it really was the true beginning of the Catholic Church, but hey...
You people believe in Popes like Frankie. So what can I say.
“He emphasized that a proper interpretation of Roman Catholic doctrine permits adaptation and change as time goes on.”
That is not what is meant by development of doctrine as understood by Cardinal Newman and others. What the Pope has in mind is a jettisoning of doctrine to suit the World.
The biggest enemies of Christendom remain the World, the Flesh, and the Devil. This Pope is far too at home with the World. Which delights the Devil.
What a clueless question. Really.
Thanks for checking on that.
